Hey guys!
Hope everyone is having a great holiday season!

So I'm hoping to go to dsf the beginning of January for the first time ever! Besides the ptd do they always have pins for sale there or do they sell out quick? Pretty much what is the pin situation there??

They have a small 'core set' of non-LE pins that are always there. And lately there's been a few leftovers from their last releases available as well (many of which will likely still be there in Jan).

I suspect there's a good chance of Fridays pins still being there too...
 
Jessica will go pretty quick this Friday. The baby pin will sit forever. Cheshire is still pretty popular so he won't sit forever. I think we'll see the Jessica December calendar too, they almost always do a surprise pin when there are 3 pins on the page.
 
I know there was some big discussion about it but the soda fountain is now going to the ghridelli store now, are they opening a new soda fountain somewhere??

Disney Soda Fountain and Studio Store Hollywood is now Ghiridelli Soda Fountain WITH Disney Studio Store Hollywood. Thats all. Ghiridelli has the ice cream and drinks. The studio store is still in there with disney merchandise and is the "official" seller of the pin items.

Basically, DSF pins are just DSS pins now. No huge change to releases and such.

As far as I know there are no plans for a new "disney soda fountain" and since they now contract with Starbucks and ghiridelli it is doubtful a "Disney" soda fountain will be opened anywhere else.

DSS hollywood is about 30-40 minutes from the park. depending on traffic... At peak rush hour it could take over an hour. They are located across from the big hollywood and highland mall, next to El Capitan theatre.
 
Yes, they will be open New Year's Day, although I'm not sure exactly what hours (likely normal hours). Being attached to the movie theaters, the store is pretty much open anytime they are playing movies, and theaters don't close for the holidays... :)
