My thought is more along the line of making it more difficult to trade your low value PTD for a higher value PTD. Although why that should matter to DSSH, not sure. All I can think is it helps people believe they are more valuable.Five seconds is kind of absurd. I wonder why so short.

Again, really think the PTD is mean spirited. Cannot say that enough. Wish I had the guts to say it to DSSH directly.
Not sure my experience is really the way the PTD for PTD board is run if management is not present. So I should also add... I believe the 5 second rule was being strictly enforced because during my turn the manager was right next to the DSSH staff member who set the cover back down at 5 seconds and refused to let me trade. The manager actually smiled at me and nodded her head that I was done with my turn.Maybe it's the best way to make the line move quicker?
This is probably the reason, Machiavellian as it is...Maybe it's the best way to make the line move quicker?
Yeah, "draconian" is a more apt description than "Machiavellian". Curses!I think a 10 second line would move plenty fast, and not be so draconian. Heck, 15 or 20 seconds would still get a ton of people through in the couple of hours that trading goes on for.
Their Machiavellian plan to implement a draconian rule.Yeah, "draconian" is a more apt description than "Machiavellian". Curses!

I spoke to Adi today and she said end of today there will be an email sent out to all attendees about what to expect for boards at the event.
Now the real reason I’m posting this in the event there is a PTD for PTD board: Anyone know if it’s possible to find PTDs on any of the “anything and everything” boards? I don’t have a lot in my trade book, so I’m debating if I should last minute buy some cheap ones off someone, if it’s worth it the hassle.

I think some pulled some really good ones at the wreck it Ralph event. My luck wasn’t so good. Luckily, i had some not popular PTDs to trade for a slight upgrade (not all though). If you have zero PTDs, I think it might be worth getting some cheap ones.

I remember that belle ptd board pull you made and can tell you the event you did it at. Does this make me creepy?Yes, they do put PTDs on the normal trade boards as well. At the Wreck-It Ralph event I got a Daisy PTD, at the Beauty and the Beast event I got a Timon PTD, and at another one (forget which one now) I got Winter Belle. But it's random how many PTDs they throw on there (and if it's something awesome like the Winter Belle I pulled, you may want to keep it instead of using them for the PTD board), so I wouldn't depend on the normal boards to grab a PTD for the PTD boards. If you have the time and spare money to get a few cheap ones off of someone before Sunday, I'd go that route.
Someone usually does this, but I don't see anything happening on DPF on Sunday, I will try to share pics. It will give me something to do in line.Random question and sorry to half jump in on your post but will we be getting a trip report from someone? I would be interested in hearing all about it and seeing some pictures of the lunch haha!

It just stuck with me... I remember telling myself I need to get better at seeing those little ptd pins.HAHAHA, either creepy or observant with a good memory.
So perhaps I am getting better... Or the ptd pins are getting bigger.
Thanks everyone for contributing to this dialogue...it’s my first DSSH event and I’m low key freaking out. Have some LEs for the boards and a couple PTDs to trade, but not sure how many I should really be bringing with me...appreciate everyone providing their experience and tips...because I have no idea what I’m doing...

You do NOT need LE pins to trade with the boards (unless this event is different than the other 4 I have attended... So read the info DSSH Sends). Just bring real Disney pins for board trades. Thanks everyone for contributing to this dialogue...it’s my first DSSH event and I’m low key freaking out.
