Today I was in MK and every single CM that worked in a regular merchandise shop was wearing a trading lanyard (not with great pins of course) but I found this encouraging as if Disney was doing away with cast trading lanyards any time soon they would not be expecting new employees to learn how to do it Just my opinion Janet
 
I think that the new batch of college program (CP) Cast members have just started their first rotation and they probably are the ones with the Lanyards. Hope they keep this going once they get some experience under their belts.

When I was at WDW in September, there was no shortage of CMs in lanyards. Now most of those pins were probably scrappers, but it was still nice to see. I even got in a couple conversations with CMs (including one in the Grand Floridian who was excited to see my 20,000 Leagues collection :) ).
