Does anyone have any experience with buying pin sets which are sealed via eBay?

Prior to joining this site, I purchased a beauty and the beast vinylmation set on eBay which was sealed.

It came today and I couldn't be happier with it. I've had a look at it in detail and believe it to be genuine. It even had the Disney store price tag on it.

This has restored some farthing buying via ebay

I have bought quite a few sets via the Auction site. As long as Seller can provide pictures (Front and Back) and the COA if available.

I have also had good luck (so far) LOL!!

Unfortunately, some of the sellers many of us watch to look for which LE pins have been scrapped/counterfeited...these sellers are also selling sealed packages. Since these sellers are selling LE pins with packaging, I can only assume that these bad sellers have sourced ways to get booster packs with packaging direct from the Chinese factories.

I would recommend the same caution as with all pin purchases on Ebay. Review feedback. Look at the other items for sale and are they highly scrapped/counterfeit, or high volume of one item? Does the pin origin and the seller location make sense (the US based bad sellers seem to have a bunch of HKDL packaging Frozen booster sets).

Every time I look at those pages I feel sick! It's really hard to trust anything anymore because of it!

A friend (who isn't a pin trader herself) had gotten me a booster from a non-Disney site as a present, and it looked perfectly normal in it's packaging, and even had the number stamps on the back of the pins themselves, felt good, etc., but now I will always wonder if they are authentic or not since she didn't get them from Disney and wasn't aware of the red flags to look out for.

Do these fakes also have the number serial code stamps on the back?

EDIT: And I mean the black printed numbers, not the embedded ones.

pin set ? Or booster packs? If you ever need help with a pin or pins, just ask here. But give pin name or number also. That way people will know what pin you are talking about.
