Ebay Titles / Descriptions "lacking" and your success stories

I just got 3 pins in the mail yesterday, that I have been super excited about. The seller could have done himself a world of good if he just did a little research and spent a little time writing a better description, because there was basically nothing other than the listing title and backstamp info, which lucky for me did include Disney. So bargains for me, and that got me wondering about the other crazy stuff others have found on Ebay listed improperly and so didn't get the attention it would normally get, and sold for less than normal.

But may I present "Figment Dinosaur" (he knew Figment, thank goodness or I never would have found them), Laughing Orange (which is at least accurate) and my personal favorite "Dog with Hat and Bowtie."



Those, for those too young or from the west coast, are actually one of the vintage HTF Figment pins, and two pins from Kitchen Kabaret at Epcot Center. The "dog" is Mr. Eggz. A properly labeled Orange sold this weekend for over $56, and the previous one for $50 those did have cards, and mine didn't, but still.

So now, I have my first 2 Kitchen Kabaret pins, so I guess I'm committed to tracking down the other 6. And 3rd vintage Figment for me.

It does lead to some good finds.
For example I recently found this Basil pin listed as a Rescuers pin:

This pin is so hard to find and I was ecstatic as I'm nearly a Mouse Detective completest and this is one of the last few I need.
I'd been searching for it for almost 5 years and never saw it on ebay before, and I search ebay for Mouse Detective pins almost daily!
I never would have found it if I hadn't done a search for Rescuers pins.
I feel I got a good deal on it, but of course I don't have another recent sale to compare it to.

Sweet! Isn't it great when that happens (for you, I mean, not the seller. My favorite Ebay find was a collection of Disney pins for which the seller did not include any description. There was just one photo of the front of the pins, which were all still stored in a plastic binder page. When I got the pins, it turned out they were all Artist Proofs, which was pretty cool.

That's awesome! But really, no description, that should be like Ebay listing 101.

I posted about this before, but I recently got an LE150 Timon and Pumbaa pin for dirt cheap because it had a bad, blurry photo and a short, non-descriptive description.

Those pins are awesome. I almost had an LE 250 maleficent for under ten, that's over 50 right now that would have made an awesome trader! You should message the person to see if they have any more of those pins.

I saw that "Figment dinosaur" pin too, and thought about bidding on it for use as a trader! It was on my watch list, but in the end I decided against it.

I got my Dumbo Beloved Tales that way. It was listed as a big Dumbo pin. I didn't get it dirt cheap but did get for a good price.

I was happy to get an older DLP cast lanyard refresher pin for only .99 cents recently.
