Enchanted Marquee??

Even crazier, what the heck happend with the Terabithia marquee? It was up to $454 with a few days left, then the seller closes it and relists it. The new listing says the old one had an error but the new one is exactly the same, dead on. Unless he put restriction on buyers I don't see any other difference. Shill bidding was suspected by others, maybe a 0 feedback person was bidding it up?

Mark, there is discussion about that on the last page of the "Everything you need to know about marquees" thread. The seller, is a DPF member, and relisted it so that the auction wasn't private. While you still can't see individual bidder's names, now you can at least see the number of people actively bidding.

I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question, but what is "shill bidding"?

Having your friend or a fake account bid on something you're selling to jack the price up. Like you use a fake account to bid $100 and have a friend bid $80 so the price jumps to $80. And if you have a real person bidding you can find out how high they entered their bid. Granted you outbid them to find out but then you know what someone is willing to pay.

Oh okay got it! Thanks for the explanation.

ugh... Pins are getting out of hand.
why can't it be like the good old days?
No camp outs, decent ebay prices, and pins still stiiting there for weeks after the releases?

How I miss the good old days!
