Event pins

It depends upon all the usual factors: LE size, character, size, elements (pin on pin, free-d, dangle), and packaging. The fact that it may originate from an event, doesn't automatically make a pin more or less valuable.

Sometimes the popularity and price of "chaser" pins tends to peak at the event or right after it. For example, the Villain ticket "chaser" pins at Mickey's Circus last year or the Villain mirror brick "chaser" pins from this year's 13 Villains event. Not many people at this year's event were interested in last year's chaser pins.

Possibly true for the pin trading board pins (the elephants from last year or the 7 Heroes mirror shard pins from this year)??

to be honest most pins from events don't trade well after the event as per the Mickeys Circus pins or the 13 pins from this year, example I have a second set to sell and can't even sell it so, yes it depends on a lot of things. as per the other comments

Usually with events, you have "more than the average" amount of people buying extras to trade or sell. So with more people having extras, it makes them easier to obtain and keeps the price in check. There are exceptions, the Princess Ball princess pins are still a PITA to get, despite being LE1500 which, these days, is a large edition size. Framed and fancy box sets seem to attract their fans long after the event.
