:( Hell of a way to reply to a TA request, I had to send my condolences... But felt if anyone knew him you'd might want to do the same.

Dear Grumpy,

I am so very sorry to tell you that Richard (wnnrchrd) passed away July 21st while vacationing in Vermont. He was my friend, my love and my companion. He is missed very much.

Oh my gosh. That's awful!

I didn't know him, but I feel so sorry for his wife to have to keep replying to trade requests. Maybe one of the PinPics mods could turn off his TA for him. Maybe with a nice email to his wife, offering their help with any further PinPics issues.

ETA: Please check to make sure you have her name and email address correct on your post. I noticed that you spelled her name "Ellen", but you spelled her email address "Elen". Normally, I wouldn't bring this up, but I would hate for her to get a ton of emails from people spelling her name wrong (especially at a time like this). Or for her to get no emails at all, if the email address is wrong. (Of course, I realize it is possible that neither is wrong. I just think you should double check.)

Dear Richard!

Oh my God! I just traded with Richard a couple of weeks ago, he was so kind and gracious. He will be greatly missed.

Wow, that is a rather surprising response from a trade request. My condolences to her. Hope they're able to stop TA messages soon.

Stickied. Our thoughts and prayers to the family & friends through this tough time.

There's not really any good way to give condolences, the loss of a beloved friend or partner is unspeakable, but our prayers are with him and those he left behind in this difficult time.

This was copied & pasted directly from the reply???

Oh wow...how sad that she has to answer all the emails coming in for him. I didn't know him, but my prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

I did my best at the moment being an awkward moment for myself. Here is the copy once again, just as it was sent to me.

I hope everyone understands my position at the moment.

I did not know this gentleman, and I think his wife must be awfully kind to take time to respond to a TA at a time like this.

My prayers go to the family & friends during this trying time.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us Grumpy! We really appreciate it. One of the reasons I love our little pin trading community is for the support we offer to others. Now we can send prayers and pixie dust to his family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Rich's passing. He & I had a lot of wonderful trades covering many years. I've sent my
condolences to Ellen. So very sad.

I'm positively brokenhearted! Richard was my very first pin trade ever, through Pinpics. I just talked to him a few weeks ago...oh my goodness - so very, very sad. :( Thanks for letting us know. God Bless Ellen!
