First pin trading meet! How to prepare?

Hello DPF family!

I've signed up for the Mamma Cozza's pin meet on November 17 and I'm super excited! This will be my first pin meet and I can't wait to meet all you folks! I'm a little bit nervous though because I'm not sure what to expect. I don't have that many great traders because it's difficult to buy pins in Canada and I only trade online for keepers. I looked at the pics of the previous pin meet at Mamma Cozza and there are so many great pins! I feel a bit ashamed bringing my traders after seeing those rare pins...

So I wanted to ask...Should I bring my keepers as well? Anything else I should bring? Do you have any tips or advice for a first pin meet? Thank you all in advance!

Just for clarification the event is Saturday November 17th and I would love to trade with you. Leave you keepers at home, unless you think they will be future traders, keepers are those pins that one would never trade away. Just introduce yourself to all of us, let us know your from Canada. I for one definitely want to do a trade we you. You have some pins I definitely want.

Put your name, address, phone, email, on or in each "pin bag" you take. Just in case. Also some "business cards" with your pinpics and dpf id on them, small pocket notepad with pen to take down id's from the friends you meet and make that night.

You picked the best pin event as your first to attend... the events at Mama Cozza's are by far my favorite...

I love meeting traders from the parents homeland... Should I practice up on my french???

I bring as much as my wife lets me leave the house with... You never know what shows up at these events and I have been to them in the past where someone would say..." I am looking for a_____ pin..." My next response is I didn't bring those... and thus either drive back home or lose a potential grail...

But that is just me... My wife would rather just bring a few pins and enjoy spending time with our friends...

Did I mention the best part about Mama Cozza's??? It's what's through the side door... That's right... the cocktails...LOL
