Frozen and Animators Toddler Dolls

hey guys,

i was wondering, is there any difference between the frozen toddler dolls and the animator toddler dolls of frozen? i feel as if they only ran out of the frozen packaging and so that's all they changed?
i got a second doll because i wanted to debox her but somehow, the one in the animator packaging looks way cuter than the one in the frozen box ... (the bangs and pig tails of the one in the frozen box look horrible and i kinda itch to fix them up ...) now i'm unsure which one to debox ... which one would you debox? the one that doesn't look as cute in her box or the animators one?

You're asking for personal preference, so here's mine:

I always leave the better looking one in the box, especially if the "worse" doll can be fixed by opening her. I also prefer the DAC box, so I'd want to leave her in that box for that reason, too. If you collect DAC dolls, these new boxes match better. From all the pix I've seen, it looks like the dolls were slightly improved in the 2nd run. They have rosier cheeks and stronger paint jobs and nicer hair.

Some may feel the opposite, that the Frozen box is the first edition and so it'll be worth more or whatever. I bought 2 of each doll back in November, so I had no choice in the matter... but if I manage to find them in the DAC boxes, it looks like I'll have 3 of each doll. Sighhhhhhhh.

haha, thanks so much for your help! my elsa is in the frozen box, too, and i can't find a DAC boxed elsa, so i was sitting inf ront of both sisters and was like: ARGH. I NEED MATCHING BOXES! =P
but you're right, all my other toddlers come in DAC boxes and the DAC doll really is cuter *sigh* i might have to hunt for a DAC elsa toddler, then, too =P

So the animator dolls are available in the us already? I really wish to have the animator dolls and not the toddler dolls but they are not yet available on the uk site.

Ugh... I have been trying to stay away from these, I don't want to go down that road of collecting the animators' dolls too. I don't have the room! But they are so darn cute...MUST... RESIST...

Seriously, I may have to at least get the Frozen dolls if they ever become available again. And maybe Pocahontas. And Rapunzel. And that's it. I swear. Except for maybe Snow White.

Pocahontas is a def, she's so cute and one of the few Disney dolls with a forward glance. I don't know how you're going to pass up Tiana, though, she's probably the cutest of the whole collection. Oh, and Mulan! Wait, you might as well get Jasmine, too.

But then that only leaves a couple other, so really, why skip any of them?

Once upon a time I would've said no rush, they'll be around forever, but now the first run is actually sought after. So weird, since I'm sure they made like a million of them.

There was a sale in the uk store at the end of last year and I am a bit annoyed with myself that I did not get Pocahontas and Rapunzel.

they all are adorable!!! i am actually from europe but we went to new york this march for vacation and the store restocked a couple of toddler annas, kristoffs and elsas. we only could fit two in our suitcases (one doll in my boyfriends suitcase and one in mine, haha), and since i didn't have anna and kristoff then, we took those. but i fell in love with rapunzel and ariel as well! =D but you're right, space is an issue, haha. i already don't know where to put anna, anna 2, kristoff and elsa. =P

i would debox the second one. the first one looks really cute in the 1st box and i personally don't care for the packaging of the second.

i find the packaging generic and while it's good if you have other things from frozen that you might want to "match" up with it, i feel like variety is also very good and the packaging of the first one (ah, the sketch is so cute!) is cooler in my opinion.

that's true! the animator sketches are adorable! i wish i'd have had enough space to get the animators elsa, too, as her sketches are too cute =3

so i guess frozen box anna will come to experience freedom ;D

Love the animator box more then the Frozen box. I think you see this picture of Anna everywhere. The animator sketches are just unique!
