Mobile app game released by the Japanese social media company LINE in January 2014. An independent worldwide version came in July 2014.
Disney Twisted Wonderland
Japanese mobile game released in 2020, based on various Disney Villains reinterpreted by Japanese manga artist Yana Toboso (Black Butler). Its success has spawned a wide variety of merchandise including pins.
Epic Games / Fortnite
Disney announced a major collaboration with Epic Games at the 2024 D23 Expo. Where this will lead is still unknown however some Disney properties from Marvel and Star Wars have already made their way into Fortnite.
Kingdom Hearts
This 2002 collaboration with Square (now Square Enix) put classic Disney characters like Mickey, Donald and Goofy and characters from Square Enix’s other franchises like Final Fantasy into an action role-playing style game. Multiple sequels and associated products have followed.
Play Disney
You might have noticed signs for Play Disney while in ride queues at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. QR codes will connect you to your appropriate app store to download the app and participate in whatever activity or game has been developed for that location. Within the app you can collect and earn virtual pins and some physical achievement pins too.
Virtual Magic Kingdom
Disney launched this massively multiplayer online game as part of the celebration of Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary May 23, 2005. Players could virtually visit Disneyland, play mini-games, search for Hidden Mickeys, decorate their own room and host other players. The game closed May 21, 2008.
