I only have around 15 pins because I just started on my last trip to WDW. What is the best way to get more pins to trade?

Thanks!

depends on what kind of trading you want to do? If its just cast lanyard pins you can buy booster packs on ebay pretty cheap. If its LE trading I would say as a new trader don't buy traders buy pins you want. If you live local by WDW and DLR you go to the new pin releases and buy two of the pins you like. One for keeps and one for trade. It will grow. :)

If you want to buy pins from eBay, make sure you do your research. Many sellers are selling pins for around $1, which most likely, they will be scrappers (pins you can't trade at Disney). Other sellers I have seen have authentic pins for sale. Sometimes, it's best to buy booster sets, not the big pin lots. Make sure you are looking at neutral and negative feedback on eBay because a lot of scrapper sellers have pretty good feedback ratings. The reason for that is that most people do not know that these pins they are getting are scrappers, so they leave good feedback. If you look at neutral and negative feedback, and a customer suspects that some pins are scrappers, it is best to stay away from those sellers.

I also agree with AmySchweppe. That is a good way for your collection to expand.

Thanks for the advice! I will make sure I don't get stuck with scrappers! That would be disappointing!

Even LE pins have been scrapped so the chances of you never getting a scrapper is very slim. All of us had at least gotten one once in our trading lives I am sure. Do your research and ask. :)

Buy the pins you want, especially when you aren't close to a park.

Have you signed up for Pinpics yet? If not, you should do so ASAP and add to your wants list :hsd:

Also, make sure when you are trading, inspect the pin you want to make sure it is not a scrapper. Look at the Thread for Pin Comparison on here to get information on signs of a scrapper. Oh yeah, and have fun! =) If you do get a scrapper, don't worry about it! It happens! =) Hope your pin trading goes well!
