If you look at the front of the store you can see that it is not a Disney story that has sum Ghirardelli stuff also. Its the flip of that. The Name out front tells the story. The Ghirardelli logo is 3 times bigger than the small Disney part. In the store yes you have some Disney stuff but you are sold and marketed Ghirardelli. Really gives you the feel that Disney is the back seat and the big G is boss of this shop.
 

Yeah, I believe that was the intention all along... It's a Ghiradelli Ice Cream Shop that also sells Disney merchandise. But Disney isn't going to brand their merchandise with Ghiradelli, so their stuff will still likely be labeled as Disney Studio Store Hollywood.
 
We just went tonight after seeing Thor (which was amazing) and got to walk around the store. Very nice looking, very clean and very neat. I kinda miss the old one though...
