Went to place an order this morning for a few pins and a couple of sets I'd been contemplating. I went back through inventory a couple of times, added a few more things, etc. Went through the normal process of checking out and BAM got the below message. Tried several times to complete check out and no luck. Let it sit a few minutes, still no luck. Finally backed out to my cart and started over. This time I got the message that several pins I had just put in the cart were no longer available but my sale went through.

I am curious as to what will arrive but I cannot recall the last time I did a checkout through DS.com where there were not problems.

Did you try calling the ds number for guest services. It's not a dot I worked for, but I know they are very helpful. The more calm you can be the better. Also, sometimes if you get nowhere, hang up and call and get another person.
 
I've done that before and they helped me when I just could not get the site to process my order at all. However, it was a sale day and by the time I got a person live and placed the order a lot of the sale pins were already gone. I got a very nice "I'm sorry" and that was about it. I thought about calling again today as the site just seems to keep having issues. (Not every order but certainly more often than Amazon or other retail sites). But I decided my time was better spent moving on with my day. Surely they know that there are still big issues with site performance and that people are not happy with it.
 
The story gets BETTER!!!! Yesterday I got an email from the disneystore.com that they could not process the transaction and that I needed to call them. So, I called them and held. And held. And held. Was told repeatedly that my wait would be 10 minutes. Then I hung up. I just didn't have time to keep waiting.

Today the sale started. I was able to get most of the same pins as were on that order but with the extra discount. Now, if only the order will actually go through.
 
OK So I placed new order Saturday and this morning received this email this morning (two days later):

We are sorry to inform you that the following
merchandise was not available at the time your order
was filled. You have not been billed for these
items. We apologize for any inconvenience
or disappointment this may cause.

Looks like Disney just cannot figure out how to handle an online retail business. What are the chances they would turn this over to Amazon and let them handle fulfillment?
