Just wondering what people think. Will the prices on these pins keep going up? Or we they just going up because they just came out and may be sold out or hard to get but after the Xmas rush they may drop again/even out? There's 3 I really want, and unfortunately I just missed out on one on ebay for a reasonable price (cost of pin) and now the only ones on eBay are 25-35$ and I really don't want to spend that much for each pin, but I also don't want prices to keep going up and then I'll kick myself for not paying the 25$ when I could have. I'm new and don't really know if/how quickly prices fluctuate. Any ideas on this would be appreciated.
thanks!

Nah, these pins fall into the category that a lot of collectors don't like. They're dated, and they have words on them. Many of the styles even end up at the Outlet stores after the holidays. In past years, I've gotten them for $1.99 even.

However, because not a lot of collectors go for them, a lot of resellers don't buy them, (or traders) so the ones that do show up on Ebay are priced fairly high. But, just set up an Ebay search for the ones you want, and eventually things pop up auction style, with not a lot of bids, or BIN for about cost (especially, once they hit the outlet stores). This is one of the collections that I am sort of actively searching for, so I often see pins from a couple years past for less than $20, and many less than $10. There can be exceptions, I can't find the 2005 Ft Wilderness greeting card pin for anything (a bit of hyperbole, but I've only seen it on Ebay maybe a half dozen times, in the 3 years I've been looking for it).

Which ones are you looking for?

I think the only ones that will hold a higher value are the hot ticket items right now... so anything Frozen. The Olaf present pin was one I REALLY wanted so I nabbed it on ebay for $22. Higher than cost but whatever... I do not see it going up too crazy high especially since its a LE of 2000. The high LE are usually safer to stay reasonable.

In looking for grand Floridian, art of animation, Polynesian and animal kingdom lodge

Remember just because Pin Traders at DTD is sold out of the WDW resort pins, the pin still might be available at the actual resort. It just means that you will have to drive over there. Of course, for the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian, you just have to ride the monorail. I collect Crush and he is always on the Vero Beach resort hotel holiday pin. I usually have to drive over to the resort, since Pin Traders usually sells out before I get there. Good Luck in your search!

I think you should be good, for most of them, at the resort. Like I said in another thread, the value resorts are where the pins tend to sell out the quickest, so Art of Animation may not be available. But the deluxe resorts, should still have them. BUT...you may need to ask a CM, because they might have them behind the counter (GF does this a lot).

Thank you for the info I planned on going around to many of the resorts anyway(we always like to tour them and check out decorations) so I will definitely ask I actually have the vero beach one (it started the whole thing since my brother got me that one, then I thought I should get some of the others) and its squirt this year, not crush. It's still very cute.
