Hello- Has there been any official info on the upcoming diamond release pins? Wristbands? No wristbands? Any info appreciated. Thanks

If I remember correctly, they will be distributing wristbands near the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney at around 7 am on the day of the release. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

That is what I remember reading:

They will hand out wristbands at 7 near Rainforest Cafe (like Room said). Limit of two pins per person.

If there are any pins left after wristbanded people have bought them they will be sold, up to two per person, to other guests who have not purchased them. (So if you bought two with a wristband you can't just wait around and buy two more.)

"Effectively immediately and each month go forward through July 2015, wristbands will be distributed for the release of the Countdown Series pin near Rainforest Café in the Downtown Disney District at approximately 7a.m., unless otherwise determined. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase the Countdown Series pin for that month at one of the following locations: Julius Katz & Sons in Disney California Adventure®park; Little Green Men Store Command at Disneyland® park; and Disney Pin Traders in the Downtown Disney® District. Please see Wristband Distribution Guidelines below for details."

So...they'll have (potentially) 1500 wristbands to hand out? ...or is it kinda like dsf where each band has a # on it and you have to hope you get a # under 1500 to get a pin? Sorry for the questions. I've never been to a dlr release. Thanks

they will hand out around 1475 wristbands. I heard they save some sometimes.

but it is first come first serve. you get a wristband you get the pins. its not like dsf where you get a raffle ticket after.

aaahhhh I have stayed away from these releases so far, even being a local I just get deterred with all the commotion. However, because I really want the horned king pin and I'm afraid people are going to scoop him up with the diamonds! It wouldn't hurt to get the diamonds, so maybe I will just suck it up and see any of you other brave souls there on the 19th!

I only see these two listings.. the purple one did sell for 93.00.. but the green is still active. I just pm'd the seller asking how they had it available. We will see what they say

Can I ask a sort of clueless newbie question but can I clarify that it is this Thursday at 7 am by the rain forest cafe that we can get a wrist band that lets us buy one of the 60th anniversary pins?

i don't have any super special pins so this sounds like something I might like to try to do.
will there really be that many people there in the am?

They start handing wristbands out at 7am. the wristband allows you to purchase 2.

The first 2 releases were crazy so this one will probably be the same.

Disneyland® Resort – Wristband Distribution Guidelines
Wristbands will be distributed entitling bearers to the opportunity to purchase the Countdown Series pin. Wristbands are distributed near Rainforest Café in theDowntown Disney® District around 7a.m. unless otherwise determined. After initial distribution, wristbands will then be available at the respective merchandise locations until 12 Noon or while supplies last. We kindly ask that Guests do not queue up for wristband distribution prior to 6 a.m. In addition, holding a place in line for others in your party will not be allowed. Guests who wish to obtain a wristband must be present when the line forms or they will be escorted to the back of the line.
Wristbands will be valid for the purchase of the item(s) at the designated merchandise locations until 1:00 p.m. on the day of distribution. Wristbands are limited. At 1:00 p.m. any remaining Countdown Series pins will be available for purchase at the designated merchandise location by persons who have not previously purchased the item(s) on the day of release. Lost, stolen or damaged wristbands will not be replaced. Wristbands have no cash value. Restrictions apply.
Guidelines are subject to change without notice. Guests suspected of abusing the guidelines or the trading process may be subject to, among other things, removal from the resort premises.

So I am planning to be getting in line at 6am .... overkill ?

I can be there earlier, I have never done an early am release like this before so I am not sure how to approach it. here's to hopin' I get a wristband !

So interesting development in the Disneyland Diamond Pin release line. I got here at 6, came through DTD by walking by Paradise Pier Hotel and Disneyland Hotel. Walked past AMC and ESPNZone and found the line by DTD Valet/Taxi area. Saw another LONG line (estimates I heard were 400-500 people) going down the sidewalk leading out of the DTD parking lot.

Not exactly knowing which way the line went I got in line and suddenly we were moving. I figured we were being truncated into a space to not block traffic. They were merging the two lines zipper style (one group from my line, one group from the other line). The line I was in was the "you listened to the rules and were in the 6:00 line". The other line was the "you showed up too early and started a line" line.

There is security here and the cast members who are controlling the lines and the subsequent corrals are doing a great job. Everyone seems to be in a great mood. Everything is very orderly.

I parked at 545a. Two lines and gum on my shoe later, had pins in hand at 930a LOL
One is a birthday gift for my boss. She bought me a pin for my birthday while she was on a first date with a guy at DTD so I think she deserves this!
