Heroes & villains collection first look
Can someone please explain to me how these dolls are getting leaked? Like, how are these getting out so early?

Anyways, I love the dolls themselves (dat Ursula is fantastic), but the poses, particualrlly on Ariel and Ursula, could be a lot better. Still, its exciting to know that the rumor of a Heroes vs Villains set is turning out to be true! Anyone else find it weird that they decided to make it a part of the "Fairytale Designer Collection" line though?
 

The Elsa/Hans set is nicely posed. They should have set Ariel slightly in front of Ursula as well. They look so crowded.

Yeah Ursula and Ariel just look really awkward in their box. They are both beautiful, but they look like they were just stuffed inside and then packaged.

Yeah I talked to the guy seeing if he could share any details on the ONCE dolls that he put up for sale. He said that he had connections and that the dolls he had come across were the first "samples". So either he worked there and is somehow taking them and selling them, or someone who works at the Disney Store or one of their warehouses is taking one or two of each and giving them to him to sell. It just really intrigues me because this kind of stuff really shouldn't be that easy to take out from under Disney's noses.
 

I'd be concerned about Disney pressing charges.

It wouldn't surprise me if Disney did take some kind of legal action. Provided, of course, that these dolls are legit. Seriously, it looks like someone took an Ariel and an Ursula classic doll, glammed them up with rhinestones, stuck then in a box, and photoshopped the rest. And I know there's quite a few people on Facebook that think that, as well.
 
Ariel looks really pretty. I like Ursula's articulation and her tentacles but she looks like the 17 inch doll shrunk down. Interested to see Snow White and the Evil Queen/Hag and Rapunzel/Mother Gothel. Hoping for a Jasmine/Jafar.....
 
I love the Ariel one! Her fin looks 100x better than the 17 inch one and ursulas tentacles look better than the 17inch one too! Elsa should have been in blue with Hans holding his sword.

I just hope that they don't make all the same characters in the same order-Ariel coming out in the first wave of the Designer Couples and now the first wave of Heroes and Villains. No pun intended, by the way.


I just looked at some of the other items this seller has available, and I think he/she is in some sort of marketing or design position at Disney. In addition to the OUAT set and Ariel/Ursula there is also an LE Star Wars figure up for sale that has not been released yet. I don't think any regular Cast Member or even a manager at DS would have access to merchandise intended for release that much later in the year, let alone the product samples.

Love them! Don't have the money for them though . I know Elsa is extremely popular but Anna should have been with Hans or maybe Anna/Hans is in Wave 2? Anna/Kristoff can work but Disney would write something so cheesy lol. Meg or Hercules/Hades, Esmeralda/Frollo, Tiana/ Dr. Facilier, Mulan/ Shan Yu, Jasmine or Aladdin / Jaffar , Belle/Gaston and Pocahontas/Ratcliffe need to happen!

It'd be nice if Disney is releasing 5 this year, with Elsa and Hans being D23 exclusives for this year only. Next year, they'll release 5 more including the Elsa and Hans set. But yeah.. People pretty much need to give up on ever owning that set, because it'll have CRAZY lines!

But from what we've so far...
The art looks PHENOMENAL! This is definitely a set you'll want to have lithos of!

Ariel and Ursula: Don't like how they are both smiling at each other in the picture. Ariel's tail is an interesting design, but her top looks horrendous! Especially when you look at the art. I especially don't like that she doesn't have an actual belt. I also don't like that yet again, She doesn't have her bangs and her hair is really long and curly. I would have preferred a hairstyle for ariel because it honestly looks like DisneyStore just took a regular 12" classic doll and put eyelashes on her. Ursula on the other hand is perfect... IF it was a classic doll. I have no idea why they would call this designer Ursula because she looks just like a normal Ursula would look like. Kinda annoying. I believe she also has the same face mold as the 17" doll...

Hans and Elsa: I need to see more pictures, but I still can't believe that they put Elsa in there instead of Anna. Especially since they could have at least done something with Anna's coronation dress. I think Elsa's dress is basically the same as the 17" doll, except for the cape, it looks like it's less detailed. What I hate though is that her crown here is more detailed than the 17" doll's crown. Are you kidding me?
I need to see better pictures of Hans, but honestly.. Why Elsa?
Oh and the art looks ok. Nothing too impressive.

I can't wait for the other dolls in the line.
I'm assuming it'll be:
Rapunzel VS Gothel
Jasmine VS Jafar
Belle VS Gaston
Snow White VS Evil Queen
 
Just how can they not do maleficent in a villain line shes the best selling villain! Means they will be a part 2! Hate when it's two parts, prefer something new each year! I think individually Ariel and Ursula are improvments over the 17inch dolls but hate how cramted they look packaged together. And Elsa has her blue gem in her crown finally!
 

These are legit. Maybe prototypes but legit none the less. Disney is making less quality products because they know they'll sell anyway and they'll have maximum profit. That art is beautiful! However the dolls seem tired and nothing new. While real, they're a disappointment.
 
To me, Elsa makes sense, because he tried to murder her. He didn't murder Anna even when she was very weak, rather, he left her to die through an injury that was not related to him (to me, "didn't try to save" is nothing similar to "bringing my sword down on you from behind"). Hans had said he wanted to rule Arendelle and get rid of Elsa, but "no one was getting anywhere" with Elsa, so Anna throwing herself at him, and the problems between Elsa and Anna that caused Elsa to run off an injure Anna and therefore "treason against herself"(?), was a convenient scenario that came up. Hans' goal was to rule Arendelle, so his major enemy was the ruler of Arendelle, which happens to be Elsa.
 
Ooh only just realised Ariel and ursula were not originally rumored to be in this line so if they are this means Maleficent and Aurora are a high possibility! I want Maleficent/aurora, Ariel and Urusla and Elsa and Hans my three favourite princess's! Would be interested in Snow White too if she's with the queen and not a hag.
 

I am not going to get my hopes up, but I would love a set of Aurora in her blue dress with Maleficent! If they don't do it for this wave, then I am sure we will get it in the next wave IF they decided to do a second wave.

I just want some new characters in this line. I am so tired of Disney using the exact same characters and molds for every doll release these days. Give me a Gaston, Captain Hook, Jafar or really ANYONE who doesn't usually get a doll. I would love a Alice and Queen of Hearts set or the rumored Peter Pan and Hook set!
