Hope everyone who wants them gets them tonight! They may not be that popular, but I am glad to see that at least a small group of people on these forums is excited about their release. I do want these to sell out soon, but I am hoping they stay on long enough for me to get them. I get paid next week and I have some money saved up, so hopefully I can get them soon along with the Aladdin doll!

Thank you for the link!!! It was such a nice shopping experience tonight; wish they all went that smooth.

This might be the quietest release ever...lol They really should've released Aladdin & Jafar this week instead of next week with Punzie.

That sounds about right. Rapunzel is the most popular of that bunch, Jafar has a low LE number which will make him sell out quickly, and while Aladdin is one of the more popular princes (and from one of Disney's most popular films), his high LE number and the fact that he is a prince doll will make him stick around for a little bit. I think he will be popular, but I think he will be the one that doesn't sell out immediately. I am only going for Aladdin, but hopefully it won't be too bad for those going for Rapunzel and/or Jafar.

Fingers crossed for you!

I'm hoping they sell out fast enough that Disney sees we want other movies/characters... but at the same time I hope they last a bit. It's a very faint hope, but if I'm lucky one of the stores in the city will still have a set on the weekend and then I'll cancel this order to save the exchange rate (Snow set is worth every penny, but with exchange/shipping/ups fees she cost me $260)

My prediction for next week: Crazy for Rapunzel, some urgency for Jafar, not a peep from Aladdin.

I imagine it'll be crazy for 3 releases on the same day... especially if there's any glitches. Best of luck to everyone going for a doll that day!

Thanks . The way I see it is even if they do sell out by next week, they probably won't go for much above retail on the secondary market. I hope you manage to find one in store though! I can't believe that you have to pay that much all together! I'm guessing that most stores probably have at least one or two sets left over. This set is clearly the least popular of this line, so most stores probably still have some in stock.

I just got my Snow White and Hag delivered. It really is a masterpiece. I was disappointed at first in the use of the Hag instead of the Queen, but it doesn't bother me now. I'd still prefer the EQ, but it is nice that it's different. My Snow has wonky hair, but that happens. A huge chuck is sticking all over the plastic backing. I've been really lucky in the past that my delivered dolls were all good, so it was bound to happen. At least it's not really damaged and I can position the set so it's not noticeable. It's still one of my favorite sets. The pics do not do it justice. Her face and the dress are spectacular. Anyone else still waiting on her?

How many of you guys will be trying for Pan? Just curious as not much buzz about that set. I'm hoping to get to my local store soon to see what they have left. Even though I'm only attempting to get Elsa & Hans I'm always interested to see the other dolls. As we've always said Disney photos don't do them justice so I like to admire them in person.

After Snow and Hag I am very excited about Mal and Aurora next year. What I would absolutely gush over is Cruella with 3 puppies. Can you imagine!?

I was also really disappointed about the hag. Obviously I'm a huge fan of the evil queen. But I figure someday I'll have an EQ doll and it will look excellent next to the hag. I'm still waiting on my Snow. It's supposed to be delivered on Friday. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. She's my first LE doll. :hsd:

ah!! i feel so dumb!!!
my snow white and witch set came but the witch's hand, the one holding the apple, was all sideways so i opened the set up to adjust it and when i went to put the plastic box back on the little tabs caught onto the backing and totally cut through the cardboard!
it's not horrible but it's a lot more noticeable than a tilted hand Dx

oooh the regret!!!

Congrats on your first doll! I hope she's perfect for you. Yeah, I love the Evil Queen. She's my second favorite. Maleficent is number one for me. I wasn't too happy when the rumors came out the set was going have the hag instead of the EQ, but I'm going to appreciate the hag for the uniqueness while really hoping for a 17" Evil Queen in the near future. I have the designer EQ and I'm so tempted to pop open the boxes and shove her in there instead, but I'll refrain as I tend to not debox these.

Ugh I am REALLY hoping the website doesn't glitch with Punzie like it did with Snow... I need my sleep.

Also, for those interested, the Pan & Hook set is STILL up on the website. It really is a cool set, I just don't have the money.

I know I'm in the minority on the boards, but I was actually quite pleased and looking forward to the release of the Peter and Hook set. I got up and into the local Disney Store - Glasgow - for just after the opening time, and the sets were selling quite steadily. I've always had a big connection with the Peter Pan stories from when my Granddad first handed me over a copy of the book, telling me I'd enjoy it, so there was a 50/50 chance of me not getting this. And when I saw them... I immediately thought of my Granddad, and my eyes welled up and my Dad - who had come along with me so he could nosy at the Star Wars and Marvel stuff - automatically picked up one of the sets, and reminded me I had been saving my money.

So, yeah, I managed to get one of these sets. It's actually the first time I've done it on the day - I do have the designer Evil Queen and Queen of Hearts, but I had gotten them when they were half price on the website, so I only really paid the price of one - and... it goes quite smoothly at the Glasgow store. That one also still has some of the romantic couples left from last year - Mulan/Shang, Tiana/Naveen, and Pocahontas/John Smith. I would have picked up either the Mulan or the Tiana set if my heart hadn't been won by Pan and Hook. Snow White and the Hag didn't last long on the shelves, and they're expecting a rush next week for Rapunzel and Gothel (though I don't know if the UK Stores will get the Aladdin LE dolls...) so it could be that this is the rarity of easy release days. I will say that from when I went into the store and when I left, they went from a full shelf to maybe three of the sets left.

But yes, very pleased to have the set. Showed it to Mum and she thinks it looks really lovely - she seems to especially like the braiding detail on Hook's jacket. I'm hoping the Peter Pan doll body being made means maybe a sign of some other child dolls added to the classic line up? Alice or Wendy, perhaps? Would be cool to see.

I hope everyone manages to get the set they go for!

That's awful! I'm sorry that happened to you . Is there any way it can be covered up or fixed?

Peter Pan set is still available on the dsiney store website. This seemed like a much smoother release than last week with Snow White. I hope Rapunzel goes smoothly next week along with Ariel and Elsa the following two weeks. I would be great if there was low traffic on the site but all three ar very popular characters so I doubt it

hnnghh! most of the tears were along the edges so they aren't that noticeable, thankfully!
i might try to use some deco tape to mask it up some more, but i'm too afraid to remove the plastic again xD

thanx for asking :3

It's so wonderful that your grandfather introduced you to the original novel. Not only is it a great story, but it creates a great memory of the connection you two shared. And congrats on picking up a Peter and Hook set.

I thought people were talking a lot about Hook and Peter Pan, I thought there was more excitement for the set because it was so different. I can't believe it didn't sell out - but like a lot of people have said, there's way too much competition this time, way too many dolls between this whole set, Frozen Fever and Aladdin. I hope they make other characters but next year I might get Maleficent/Aurora or Cincerella/Tremaine if they are made. It's good to see people have a calm experience buying LE dolls for a change today.

What do you with the bags? Ideally I'd like to display mine, or at least one of the bags, with the dolls on the shelf, but there's no room for that, and I can't seem to make it look right. I don't want to keep the case in the bag as I want to look at the dolls. So, I have all these bags from the past designer sets and now the incoming sets piling up in a drawer in my hobby room, and I can't think of anything creative to do with them. I don't want to get rid of them, but it doesn't seem worth trying to display them. I thought about framing one from each series but I don't have anywhere I'd want to hang them. I'm wondering what other people do with all the bags.

I'm also curious, do you display the dolls in their covers? At first I had the covers next to the case at an angle, but there's no longer room for that. I don't like to keep the cover on the case because I want to look at the dolls, so I currently have them laying down on top of the doll case, but longways for space, so you can't really even see the artwork. It's doesn't look great, but I'm not sure what else to do other than put the cover back on. Getting rid of the covers isn't an option since the artwork is so nice. It's funny, the designer sets seem to take up more room than the 17" dolls.
