its no prank I've seen the Ariel set in person. It has a sku, slip cover etc. They are pretty but I feel are the production models. They need some work .

Thank you so much for sharing this info! I hope you don't mind I shared the info on my Facebook page too. I am super excited about Snow and the Old Hag! I love seeing new characters... I would love to see them continue the couples line in the future though. Hopefully with more "off the beaten path" characters like Meg & Herc.... I can dream *~ lol!
 
I don't mind at all. I'm happy to share info anytime. I agree I'd like to see Tarzan & Jane, Hercules & Mag, etc.
I reside in NJ and I'm just lucky enough to have a best friend in Cali that is going to the expo and they have friends that have Sorcerer tickets.
 
Not liking that line up at all. Why Elsa not Anna?
This is aladdin's diamond year, why not jasmine? Where's belle and gaston?

While I am a bit disappointed there is no Belle and Gaston... I am extremely happy the Pan and Hook set is really going to happen! Hope it looks good
 
I do agree that it is weird that Jasmine isn't included in the line. A Jasmine and Jafar set would have been really cool! But at least we are getting the 17 inch dolls. I am so ecstatic that a Peter Pan and Hook set is actually happening!!! My favorite Disney film is finally getting some LE merch that doesn't involve Tinkerbell (nothing wrong with Tinkerbell, but Disney loves to market her over every other character)!!!
 
I hope to see tiana/dr facilier belle/gaston jasmine/jafar cindy/tremaine and aurora/maleficent i dont think that we will see pocahontas and mulan with their villain but i am hoping for the future designer line is that they will be accompanied by their friend or alies like blue gown tiana and charlotte merida and elinor anna and kristoff cindy and anastasia meg and hercules
 

I am a bit confused. According to the post, Anna will be released with Kristoff. Everyone else in the line is paired with a villain, but she is paired with her love interest? That doesn't make any sense.

Agreed it makes no sense! Plus the artwork for Elsa and Hans doesn't match the dolls. It feels very strange that they would make the two of them exclusive while all the other dolls in the past have been available to the public who haven't been able to attend D23. Plus what would Anna and Kristoff even be wearing.... It would probably just be mini versions of these past 17 in dolls.
 

Well her post said "Frozen Anna/Kristoff". So it's Anna when she's frozen... I have no clue how that will look and if I will want it. I love Anna and Kristoff but neither is a villain and I wish they were just a fairytale designer couple and not lumped in with this hero/villain line. It makes absolutely no sense. But I guess Disney wanted to get Anna and Elsa into this Designer line so they fudged it.
 
That doesn't make any sense. Who at Disney honestly thought it would be a good idea to have Elsa and Hans a D23 exclusive set? Elsa has become one of the most popular Disney characters to come out of the company in years, and they have to know that people will go to great lengths to get limited edition merchandise of her, ESPECIALLY dolls of her. Now people who want Elsa are going to have a really hard time trying to get her, and most people who want a complete set of dolls can't actually own a complete set because two characters are being excluded as exclusives. And why would you include Anna and Kristoff in a line that is primarily Villains vs Heroes? By Frozen Anna, do they mean when her hair is a light blonde color and she has frost on her? Is that why this set is being called the third wave of the Fairytale Designer Collection and not the Heroes and Villains Designer Collection? Even though I am tickled pink at the thought of a Pan and Hook set, Disney is already making some very questionable decisions for this line.

I think Anna will be with white hair and a skin so pale , close to death. And now it makes a lot of sense.
 
If Elsa and Hans are a D23 exclusive ONLY (no variant for the rest of us), I'm going to be quite upset... [edited the rest because I probably should learn to hold my tongue when I'm angry...but believe me I am angry!!!]

This is why I HATE not having any solid information from Disney. Not saying I distrust anyone's news in any way, but I am so confused by everything I am reading I don't know what to believe. All I can say is, it seems pretty clear there's going to be a D23 Elsa/Hans and a regular LE Ariel/Ursula-pictures already ruined that news.

But so many people on other talk pages and doll groups are saying "it's definitely these five," and there are more set names in the conversation now than Disney's usual five-per-year limit. The person who originally made this heroes vs. villains rumor is at least off by one set because he/she didn't name Ariel/Ursula when that is the only regular set we have any pictures to go on. I still want to say that Hans/Elsa will be a regular set too since up until now the D23 exclusive has always had a variant, but the tumblr post throws that off (I think it really should be Hans/Anna, but I'll save that complaint for another day).

Finally, I think it would be weird to not have a Jasmine/Jafar during the big year of Aladdin merchandise-Disney conveniently made an Ariel set during The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition year in 2013 and the same thing happened for Aurora last year. And no Belle/Gaston? If that's true, does Disney know they're really missing out on the money people would pay for those two together? And I don't even know how to begin about this Anna/Kristoff rumor.

I'm excited about everything I'm hearing so far, but I really don't want to get my hopes up on anything that hasn't been confirmed by Disney yet. I still remember the hysteria over the 17'' Hans that so many people were saying was definitely going to happen last March-and didn't happen.

Going back on what you said, I don't think that it's fair to blame Disney for scalpers. They are trying hard to stop them and sometimes they just can't.

When it comes to D23 every member is allowed ONE doll. End of discussion. So if a scalper decides to pay money and bring more guests (Think tickets, hotel, and possibly flight) then they can't do anything about it since they count as guests.
 
This can actually be simply made.

1. Ariel and Ursula - Poor Unfortunate Souls.
2. Snow white and Old Hag
3. Belle and Gaston (Belle is in her blue get up)
4. Jafar and Jasmine (Jasmine in her Red outfit) - This would be nice too and would match the trend that's been going on. (Ariel: 17" = Mermaid. 12" = Blue Dress). (Aurora: 17": Pink Dress. 12" = Briar Rose)
5. Rapunzel and Mother Gothel (Gothel being an old hag before regaining her youth again)
 
I get the sneaky feeling that the Hans/Elsa D23 pictures weren't totally on the level (so to speak). If you have a look at the bottom of her dress (on the cardboard cover) there are tell-tale signs of photos hoping/smudging and the left ear of the D23 logo looks cut-off. Another sign of photoshop. In other words - i am taking the hans and elsa d23 set as a massive pinch of salt despite the pictures appearing to confirm them - indeed the pictures just raise more doubts. Maybe the smudges are usual for "floor" demo designs but something didn't look right about that set.

I totally understand Disney releasing an Elsa set first however as part of this line. *Everything Elsa* Maybe Anna will get her own - maybe with a scaled down Marshmellow or even The Duke of Weselton! (Can you imagined!). Not with Kristoff. That makes so little sense considering the other sets in the line-up.

Though I am sure IF Frozen is to be the D23 exclusive - my gut tells me there has to be a simplified edition of Hans and Elsa as part of the normal line-up (following from Cinderella & Snow White). I imagine Elsa will wear a different outfit in contrast to her D23 twin. I can't see them releasing Elsa and Hans especially for D23. I just can't see that at all - the variant will should be in the normal line-up just as Cinderella/Show White were. Elsa is also such a big character - I don't think they'd restrict her solely for a D23 audience/demographic. Merchandising would very much want Elsa to propel the Heroes & Villains brand line-up from a promotional perspective and would be pointless if that is limited to Anaheim/d23 customers. In many ways, having Elsa as part of run would propel the brand ensuring the other sets do as well too thus ensuring there are no couple boxes left on shelves picking up nothing but dust.

PS I can oddly imagine Kristoff and Anna as part of a D23 exclusive. As a hold-over/tip to the hat of the last Designer Couple line-up of last year. That makes sense to me since they are a couple.

Those rumors are getting so out of hand and people are seriously having fun with this situation.

Hey, you’re welcome! Yes, exactly! From what I have heard, she will be whitening up as her heart was struck from Elsa’s ice. That in a sense is the villain to Kristoff.
