That's really, REALLY neat! What an excellent way for Disney to stick it to the scrapper-sellers.

As ya'll can see, I'm low on trading pins, because buying individual pins at Disneyland adds up and is super costly!!! This is a great price and will allow me to start trading more!!! Yay!

I wouldn't mind it being the letters. xD Might have to snatch up the Chip and Dale for my fiance if he doesn't have them already! edit: Read it was random, darnit. :C

You needed to be at the Annual Passholder sale last weekend when they had pins for $3 and then you got your 20% passholder discount for a total of $2.40 a piece! No hidden mickey pins, all rack pins. Maybe 8 or 9 different designs. They were all gone in like 40 minutes, I heard one person grabbed over 200 or something. Cheap authentic traders! The Soarin pin was nice. The had one of those green project pins. Maybe I'll do a thread so you all know what pins will be scattering out soon.

Those AP sales are too crazy for me.

I've read that all theme park merchandise is now being handled by WDW. If you call DelivEARs you now get routed to Florida. They are in the process of getting more WDW stuff onto DS.com so it will be awhile before DLR stuff becomes more regularly available on DS.com.

what the he#%.....i would b there had i known....i have 3 P. APs..... how do i get to know of deals... im very sad now...we spend way to much on all our pins...oh guess we get a discount at park...but still...im let down that i missed this...would have been good for kids...

DLR wave 1 hidden mickey's are for sale in the mystery pouches already. $10.95 for 2 pins. The alphabets are NOT included in the pouches as per disney cast lead.

Kory - you didn't miss anything. The past two years, DLR has had AP summer sales (from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.) at WOD. It is open to DVC, Club 33, and AP holders. Lines start forming at 4 or 5 am, sometimes earlier. You basically have to be there really early to get into the line and be one of the first in (think of those Black Friday deals). I went there last year and never got in the door after 3 hours waiting. This year, we were prepared and made reservations for Plaza Inn in case we weren't able to get in. By the time we arrived, it was packed and when I asked at the 1/4 way (closest to front of line), they had already been waiting 2 hours! 2 hours! And it's packed!

2-3 years ago, DLR had a really good deal - 3 or 4 weekends of AP sales (or maybe it was 3 days - Thursday through Sunday, don't remember which). The first day/weekend, if you were in the first 100, you got a free Vinylmation figure; the second day/weekend (which is the one I did), you got a free Kooky pen (got Woody), don't know what they gave the third day/weekend. The day I went (Saturday), it was lightly drizzling, we arrived 10 minutes before the store opened, and were still within the first 100. Now that was a good time (also got $1 trader pins because they sold a pack of 4 pins for $4).

Here's a link to the one they had later in 2010:

Not sure how it was because I didn't go to that one...hmm, maybe I did, if that's around the weekend Tangled came out....

Maybe I went to that one; I remember it was cold and rainy (we had our Disneyland ponchos on)
