How big are the cardboard backs on rack pins?

Hi Everyone, I know this is probably a dumb question, but what is the average size of the cardboard backs used to hold pins on racks? I'm out and about at the moment and can't measure one. Or maybe I can ask you what the size of the plastic bags are that people use to ship pins in? Thanks so much, Gary
