Hi All,

You guys have some serious collections going on. I have a few pins now and I'm in to a habit of framing them purely because I have no other ideas of how to display them.

How do you display / store your pins?

Thanks!

Phily 100 :)

I have all my stitch ones in a seperate pin bag (a small bag)

and all my others that I got a few years ago in a big bag. all in sections, 1st page are the memory pins, then little green men pins, chip and dale etc

and atm I have a cork board up too but thats just NBC pins :)

I store most of my pins on sheets of brightly-colored craft foam, organized by movie, and filed by order of movie release date in two "Toy Story" popcorn tins, which I keep in the cabinet of my entertainment center.

The ones I display are in shadowboxes above my entertainment center.

For some great pictures of DPFers' collections, go to the "Pin Showroom" board, on the "Pin Discussion" section of the main forum.

Thanks. Do you know where I can get a pin bag from? I've seen a few pics on here and quite a lot of people seem to have them. They look pretty cool.

I have some set framed in frames. But most of my pins are hanging on a wall on a corkboard. It's really easy to move them around and such and they look really pretty. You could also get a pin bag if you want to store them where they won't get dusty and stuff.

If you want a really neat looking shadow box frame with a great hinged glass & wood door, go to Michael's art stores and get the wooden spoon rack. The spoon holders are easily removable which leaves a beautiful black velvety backround to stick the pins into! I LOVE mine and it looks very elegant hanging on the wall!

I frame specific collections of pins. These include my Haunted Mansion, Pirate, WDI poster series, and Nightmare pins. All the others are kept in pin bags and binders. Michaels has some great frames (that's where I get mine). I buy a large canvas, cover it in black fabric, put it in the frame, then add the pins. The nice thing about using the canvas is that you can secure the pins using their pin backs and it is not a pain taking them off and putting new ones on. We all have the urge to wear our pins on lanyards, so why make it harder to take them off and on? The nice thing about using canvas is that it is very easy to find a canvas that fits the size of a frame. Harder to do that with foam board or cork board.

Here's a look at the frames I have. All are from Michaels and all but the nightmare pins use the canvas and fabric method of displaying pins. The nightmare pins are pegged on 2 layers or acid free foam board that are covered in fabric.
