Hi everyone,

Ive only been on this site since April, and only have been bidding on auctions. Ive got some Grail pins and don't know if i should sell or auction. Can someone give me some advice on these 3 pins and what they are worth. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Irwin

These are the pins im considering for auction or Sale
Pin 39368: Disney Auctions - Eric Robison Villains Series ( Evil Queen )
Pin 38354: DCL - Featured Artist - Ariel and Sebastian (Jumbo)
Pin 49515: Disney Auctions - Tinker Bell as Ariel

Those are all amazing pins! I'm sure all three of those would fare beautifully if you were to put them up for auction. I know I would bid!
I feel like sale wise they are each worth over $100. I know the last time that Ariel pin sold on Ebay was for $130. I've never seen the Evil Queen pin before, and haven't seen Tink sell lately. Good luck with whatever you decide to do! :)

All three are amazing pins. I can't speak to their value, as I don't collect those characters, but if you're unsure of what you should ask (if you decide to sell them), you can check completed listings on eBay (provided those pins have sold recently). Or maybe someone who collects these characters/themes can give you an idea of what their currently accepted 'value' (or value range) is, with the understanding that everyone values pins differently.

If you decide to auction them off, well, both Ariel and Villains are popular themes right now and should do quite well. The only question mark is Tinker Bell; for some reason, she hasn't done quite well in auctions, but since she's dressed as Ariel (and I believe that's part of an extremely sought-after DA pin set), she might end up a successful exception to a trend of mediocre Tinker Bell auctions.

The only caveat with the auctions is that there isn't a reserve option, so once you place a pin on the block, you are committing to trade it. With pins of this calibre, you certainly should get offers, but the question is whether you'll get what you want for it. But regardless of what you get, you'll be required to trade the pin to one of them at the end of the auction. If you decide to trade, perhaps you should consider the trade forum first, where you won't be required to trade unless you get an offer that is exactly to your liking? If you don't get enough interest or offers to your liking, you can then consider the auctions or selling them, perhaps?

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. You've got fabulous pins and I'm sure you'll be able to get something equally fantastic with them - and I'm sure that someone here will know more about their 'value' so you'll be able to make the best decision about them.

I would put them in the trade section before doing a trade auction. Just see what kind of offers you can get. No commitment to trade there.

Thank you Dancecats & Mellonballer,

Great suggestions about putting them on the trade area first, I think that is a better solution for now, since im not quite sure what i want to do.
