Dam it. I'm so sad to say I will never buy another pin unless it is at the parks and or if I know the seller and trust that they got it from the park. Now the cherry on top of that comment. I will only get the pins for fun. After much research it is easy to now see the chains are off and the hobby has been played. Being able to buy all the same pins from the maker of the pins kind of takes the fun out and all your le numbers are bs. Can't be le if they just make more to sell on the side. To make it worse they will sell you the limited cards and little plastic to cover and now you have a on the card new le pin. Wow and a sad tear is all I have left. What a let down. Even if I knew this would happen at some point.

WWWDD

i have sum good pics but don't know how to post them.

I guess this is already known. I have not been around for a while and was a little sad to see how out in the open the factory's are these days. 100 new booster packs is crazy to buy and have shipped to your house. By the way 100 is the smallest they will ship. They want you to buy multiple packs of 100. So sad.

85 views and not a word. Mmm interesting.. Maybe better to not talk about the dark side. It might just go away...

May be a little rant. My bad. Was asking about buying pins direct from China. I was shocked to see how easy it is to buy cheap pins in bulk that will be in the original Disney package. Hope that is more clear. Thank you

No problem. ^_^

I think buying any pins directly from China is a bad idea now. :/

Hell yea. And sad that they are selling them like that. 100 booster packs at 5-6 bucks is the deal of a life time for sharks and resell people.

I hadn't heard of this. Where do people get these? I wouldn't touch anything directly from China in bulk at super low prices.

Looks like direct from the factory. Who else would have boosters packs by the 100s. They also sell the le cards in a 100 pack plus 100 plastics to cover your now le pins. Very sad and shady.

WWWDD ??

Ahhhh. This makes so much sense re: some stores in the Orlando area. A "deal with Disney"...yeah, okay. Disney is really known for undercutting themselves on BRAND NEW product.

So instead of just dealing in scrappers and counterfeits, you're saying they're making extra of the official runs (including packaging), and offering them to anyone willing to buy in bulk, right? Disney would absolutely shut that down, if they could- but I guess the only real way to stop it is to get their business out of China. I assume they have a reason they haven't (too expensive to move to another Asian country, they're getting a benefit from China, etc etc).

Such a shame that thieves can get away with this kind of thing.

I've talked to several manufacturers who refuse to deal with China because they'll copy your mold, sell your product, and undercut you on the black market (or in this case the open one). You can find most popular Disney products on Alibaba for pennies on the dollar. To Disney, I guess it's worth the risk. But if I were as protective with my product as they are, I would start investing here where laws are better written to protect you.

At the end of the day, they aren't really losing money on this. While I am sure they are lawyers working on this cause they are ridiculous over their copyright, China isn't hurting them at all. I guarantee they know its happening and they know its not hurting their bottom line.

That may be the sad truth. Remember that the guys that were arrested years back did not get in trouble with Disney. It was the tax man that got them. Can't take money from Uncle Sam for long.

The part that scary to me is look at all the Jessica pins. I have been away awhile but that used to be the pin to face and sell. Has shark all over it.

I was going to show the pic of the le DSF cards that you can buy in a 100 pack. But it had the website. Not going to advertise for dirty sharks. But it was sad to know you can buy cards and plastic to package your very own NIB le pins.

This is so awful to see. Why would anyone buy these pins? I have been questioning moderators on Facebook sites and even contacting Disney but no one will stop it. Any time many current pins are being sold for less than half price, it's clearly a scam. This has totally ruined pin trading! To all of you that buy these pins....you know it's too good to be true but don't want to face the truth!

The good news is that you can have a good idea of which pins have been produced in bulk just by seeing what certain eBay sellers have for sale-it's not foolproof, but at least you know which pins you have to look out for when it comes to authenticity.

And KT07, I think Jessica has been hit the hardest when it comes to counterfeit pins. If you're a Jessica collector, you have to really know your stuff to not get scammed!

I think that is one of the reasons why they built a China park. The Chinese do not see counterfeiting as a crime, per se. But when their government is getting a fat check from part ownership, they will be the ones who fight back. And not just on pins, but quite a few other products.

I just wish more manufacturing would be done in places that have better counterfeit laws, places that respect copyright and trademark.
