I am curious as to how/when/why the Beloved Tales pins got so "hot" within the past few months. I have the two that are in my permanent collection (Beauty & the Beast and Mulan) that I traded for at a PTN at DLR (probably Paradise Pier Hotel) a year or so ago from two different pin traders: One just wanting another DSF LE 300 pin for BatB and the other, I think I traded away my Fantasia Ice Cream pin (Chernabog or Black Baby Pegasus) for it (which, btw, I am now looking for a Black Baby Pegasus).

And it's weird how you can still find Alice in Wonderland for about $25 but the others are at high prices. Why? I'm not knocking the high prices/trade values. Is it because most people kept the pins for themselves/in their collection, thereby only leaving a small amount to be traded away?

I think because of this forum, people started talking about them a lot more. I know I didn't know about them until someone posted a frame with them, and a couple other people put pics of them in the mail days thread. They got some buzz, and just like anything else that gets buzz, more people decided they wanted them, Ebay sellers started putting higher prices on them, people thought they would make good traders and started trying to get them even if they didn't want them. Alice was one of the later ones to come out so I'm guessing more people still had them as traders which is keeping the price from spiking, vs the early ones which probably have ended up in more permanent collections and thus less available for trade.

Also, in general, I think Princess stuff is a lot hotter since these forums started vs what I remember from scanning Dizpins. It seems over there were more Jessica, Stitch, Maleficent, HM traders and talk. But the makeup of people here, is just enough different that Princess stuff is more coveted. So the Ariel and Belle BTs maybe a little more nuts than they might have been.

I know what you mean because when I wanted to trade at the trading event for the Aladdin one, no one wanted to trade. They wanted some of my hard to find pins. I was wondering if that one is hard to find or something. I'm kinda confused too lol

I have a pending trade with my Aladdin BT right now but if it falls through, I will let you know. I am going to send an email to the person I traded it with because she also bought pins but never sent an address.

Further note: Clara - One of the people is selling their BT pins so you might want to head over to the marketplace.
