Well, I finally caved in & bought the jumbo 20 yr Ann. Toy Story pin! GSF in Hollywood still has some left! They don't display it anymore, you have to ask for it. Even at the steep price ($175), it's a beautiful pin & comes in a nice box! Being a Toy Story fan, I'm glad I got it. I bought it on Wed. May 11th. They were very patient with me & let me pick a perfect one out of 5 copies. Anyone else out there still sitting on the fence about purchasing this pin?

How do they expect to sell them if they aren't on display? How did you even know they had them? Maybe they realized that they are way too expensive for a lot of collectors. I'm glad you were able to add a pin you love to your collection, though! :tigger:

I waited a while on this one due to the price, but as Toy Story is my favorite movie I finally caved. And I'm glad I did. It's very pricey, but it really is an awesome pin.

Knowing GSF had released it a few months ago, I asked them if they still had any left, otherwise any other customer wouldn't have known about it. I agree, if they want to get rid of them, they should put one on display somewhere in GSF! I also asked if they had any other pins (including frame sets) laying around in the stockroom, they said no.

It is a HUGE pin. It takes up around a quarter of the display case. So I'm guessing that after a few months of it taking up so much room in the case and still not selling out, they removed it to display newer pins. I do agree that they should have one (or a photo of one) up somewhere in the shop so people know it's still there.

They've done it more frequently lately, I've noticed. For instance, the Shere Khan/Bagheera pin and Incredibles calendar were removed from the case before they had sold out, and I only knew they still had some for sale by asking at the counter.

Sorry for a bit of an off-topic question, but I'm hoping to buy a jumbo pin in July to celebrate my first trip to Disneyland. Was this pin $175 just because it's a special edition pin? Are there cheaper ones/many different ones available at any given time? :)
