Hope this hasnt been posted elsewhere, if it is I can't find it. Is there a way other than the dpf lanyard to identify fellow dpf'ers in the parks? Is there a secret handshake, head nod, color tshirt, or something that I dont know about that you guys have come up with? Going to WDW in Nov/Dec and would love to talk/trade with some of you that might be there but dont know how to pick you out of the throngs! Anyone have any ideas?


Also sorry mods if this is in the wrong forum. Didnt know where to put it.

Well some of us that are attending the Hollywood Bowl event during the D23 Expo are receiving DPF Pins and I plan on wearing that pin anytime I am in the park from now on. Hopefully in the future that pin will be available for purchase. You could always order the DPF Lanyard for the time being. Look under the DPF Store tab.

Well if you had a regular pin trading logo..and make a button out of it that would work too
I still have my tiggermickey Simba one it says"Continueing the Dizpins"tradition..I know its no longer around..but alot
of traders know me that way....I will be wearing that next DEC with my DPF lanyard

Do you mean next Dec as in 2012 or 2011? If its 2011 maybe we'll see you there! I still remember you introduced me to trading on DPF! I was so young then.
 
I'm having a plastic badge made that says "Hi, I am DPF member swim2sea". I'll be wearing it all the time at the Florida Project and in the Parks. Hope you find me.
 
Maybe some buttons could be made and sold? I know Zazzle.com does custom things including buttons (I had some Haunted Mansion buttons made awhile ago, good quality!). Though those DPF pins being given out at the Hollywood Bowl are very spiffy!
 
I brought the button idea up to Jon (Bricklayer) quite a while ago. Never heard anything else about it other than that he'd bring the to Cicada and the others. There is something very simple that they do over at the disboards ( a Disney forum) that works very well for identifying other members. The symbol they chose was a lime green Mickey head ( it does not say disboard) Everyone wears the symbol however they choose. Most people would make the symbol, laminate is and attach it to the bag they were taking to the park. A lot of folks make t shirts. It's pretty easy to spot eachother at the parks. So maybe we can come up with something like that?
 
Just a thought..if you have a LOGO created with your ID here..you could laminate it and put on a lanyard or get the plastic name tag and slide it in one of those and wear it

We've had quite a few inquiries regarding wearable DPF items to better identify each other during events. There were a few rough design sketches and ideas thrown around by thejessta and Cicada a couple of months ago, but nothing materialized. Once we find time to play around with more concept art, we will definitely give you status updates. For something that would be constantly displayed in and around parks/event gatherings, we want to make sure that our designs are perfect, and we do not want to rush Please be patient, as DPF items are always in discussion between me, Cicada, and the thejessta.

For now, we just have the lanyards if you wish to order one. Also, you can follow in swim2sea's footsteps and simply sport a button or other wearable with the DPF acronym on it
 
Thanks guys, I think i will try the button and definitely the lanyard. We are already going to do the disboard sign on our RV at FW. I never thought of doing a shirt, thats a great idea! After two weeks of wear i think the wifey might kick me out of the truck on the way home though! Man people are going to think I bedazzled myself in DPF stuff. Keep a wary eye out in Nov/Dec for a big, bearded, earringed pirate looking fool thats BEDAZZLED head to toe in DPF apparel. I'll keep an eye out for you guys as well.
