I just realized I made a huge mistake at the WDI store...

I didn't realize there were 2 Snow White pins- her with the dwarves, and her with her Prince. So when I went down the rack, I must have only grabbed a Snow White and was like, "Okay, I already grabbed Snow" in my head.

Now I'm short that pin, that I could have purchased for retail, and I'm going to have to pay more for it...

I hate how much waiting there was, but when you get in there, it's so much pressure to move quickly.

Sometimes I really hate pin collecting/trading. It's so much stress.

I didn't even realize it until now, when I was putting together my frame base.

So sorry to hear that you were rushed and missed something you want. I actually have had nightmares about that kind of thing. At any rate, congrats on getting one of those really nice pins!

Yeah, it's kind of one of those dumb things to ***** about, but...you know. In these situations, retail vs. elevated costs can be a big hit...especially when you're trying to save money for a new house and your husband is looming over your head. Haha!

Also, I'm just that type of person who beats themselves up when they miss something that should be obvious. It was just such a rough line-up, and man, was I hungry...

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Next time you go to the MOG event, make sure you ask a CM how many there are total. Then before leaving the pin area, you can take them all out of your bag and count them. Since they only let in 4-6 people at a time, space shouldn't be an issue. I really hope this doesn't happen to you again. I'm wishing you pixie dust you find someone to trade!

I just want to know how come when I had a connection to WDI, no one wanted their pins so they weren't so outrageous if I missed something. Now that I don't have a connection anymore, they are the new hot pins and even pins I don't think many want, people won't put up for less than $40.

It's like when I held my Little Mermaid DSF Marquee for over a year, and value didn't budge. Then 2 weeks after I traded it, I could have traded it for one of the rarer BTs I was missing and Marquees exploded.

Agreed! I have had that happen A LOT.

MOG = Mickey's of Glendale

It's the name of the store located in the Imagineering building, in Glendale, CA. They've started holding occasional "pop up store" D23 events at the Contemporary Resort at WDW.

I'm sorry to hear that. You are entitled to your feelings though. You should have heard my two day tangent on the scrapper pins I got in the mail this week.

Yeah, that's not a bad plan. This is the first time I've ever done something like this, though, so I never imagined a situation in which I didn't notice a pin on a rack I wanted. Apparently, as I get older, I might need to start...

Yeah, that seemed to happen to me a lot, too! I had princess pins for years and years to trade (brocade set, pave pins, etc.), got rid of them for cheap, then BOOM, princess craze. Same thing with the original "Jessica As" pins...I traded them away at the wrong time.

Scrappers are always worth ranting about

Thanks for the sympathy, guys! I figured most of you guys would get it...pin trading be rough.

A shopping list only helps, if the new pin designs are announced publicly ahead of time. The WDI popup store pin releases are usually surprise releases. The flyer for the four new Finding Nemo was given out as you entered the store, not during the three hour queue to enter. As you entered the pin area, you were then told of a ONE pin limit on the Dapper Dogs and on the Prince/Princess pins, but not how many designs!

I did notice that a big eBay/facebook seller had posted ads for the some of the new pins Thursday night before the Friday D23 sale!

Oh no, that is frustrating!! To be fair to you I had no clue that there were multiple designs of each princess either. What an AMAZING range at the pop up store though. I would love to be a d23 member and happen to be in Florida for one of those! If you keep your eye out, hopefully the second Snow White won't cost too much extra. I had my eye on Rapunzel for ages and eventually caved for $75. I'm weak, lol
