Does anyone have experience shipping internationally? I've received a few trade requests for international people on PinPics in Germany, Netherlands, and Belgium.

I'm not opposed to trading, but it seems the cost is prohibitive. Any tips or recommendations?

It does cost more for both parties . I'm in the UK so when I'm trading with someone in the US I try and ensure it's for more than a single pin , usually 3-4 then it's not too bad .
I know there are a couple of people here who seem to use stamps.com because it works out cheaper but I personally know nothing about the site .

Hi ! I am in France and i mostly trade with the US, the cheapest way to pay for tracked shipping from the US seem to be through paypal, I often do a 1$ payment to the person I trade with in the US so they can print the label through paypal, this way it's around 6$ for up to 3 pins.
From what I understand, when you go to the post office price can really vary depending who to talk to ! I have a friend I often trade with who was told at the post office that it was going to cost her 25$, she went to another office and it was 9$ !

The cost difference is probably priority shipping in comparison to first class, it sounds like the postman may have only offered the first if tracking or insurance was involved. Keep in mind anything over 4 lbs will require priority shipping, so you'll want the packing to be as light-weight efficient as possible for a lower cost.

PayPal.com/shipnow to ship internationally and you can ship as a large envelope if it meets the requirements. That's the only way to get it cheaper.

This is what I try to do. I have traded a few as 2 pins internationally, but it generally pays to ship more. I've had great international trading experiences so far. Since I'm in the US, I've acquired some nice DLP-exclusive pins from European traders.
