I just got a pinpics trade request. They were offering me:
pin86556

Pin 86556: Mickey Mouse Icon Mystery Pouch - Sally Only

In exchange for my:
pin83217

Pin 83217: Piece of Disney Movies - Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland

This is the second person to offer me this exact trade. What do you think, should I go for it?

Lol, I forgot to put this face at the end of my post -

Haha, I see now how that little face would completely change the way everyone read my post. I was simply trying to put out how crazy I thought it was that two different people would offer me this trade. Sorry for the confusion :)

There have been so many times when I've gotten requests like this when I have wanted to reply "sure, let's do this" and then never reply to any requests for an address exchange. Then again, I'm sure I sent lots of requests like this when I was starting out.

I made several offers like this in one night. I often go to pinpics, click on a "wants", just see who has the pin I am looking for, and if we have any more matches. I clicked the trades button and promptly fell asleep with my notebook on my lap. Woke up the next morning too late to delete them. Not my best day. Also, I would like to add, at one point we were/are new at this game and really don't know the trade value of some pins. I'm just glad it wasn't me this time...

Supertank I know that your post was to point on the humor in getting the same lopsided offer twice in one day.

But I'd like to comment on when I hear lots of people taking it so personally when they get lopsided offers on pinpics.

Why do people take it so personally? So you got a couple bad trade offers. Get over it. If you don't like the trade, delete the email, and move on with your day. No one forced you to sign up for pinpics, so if you don't want to receive trade offers, delete your account. I just hate how some people act so self-righteous like they have never and would never send out a bad request.

I just delete bad ones and move on. Sometimes they are so bad I feel like responding but I catch myself and just delete it and move on with my day.

LOL! Honestly I do have to agree here :) Even though it may be lopsided when people send out requests they may be new and not understand the system. Would it hurt to respond back asking if they could include another pin or 2? Would it hurt to look at their trades to see if they have something else you might be interested in? If it's something you have on your trades list you are obviously able and willing to give the pin up. I'm sure at one point we all clicked pins on there and sent out requests hoping the trade would be made! As we've said before you never know what one person's HG might be. Now granted it might not be that particular pin for your Alice pin that you were hoping and praying to trade for LOL. But it never hurts to ask when trading and you can always just delete or be kind and reply with a "No Thank You"

I would definitly trade supertank..... If i was the one getting the alice pin for the $7.00....... Um.... lets say not so beautiful icon.
But that darn thing..... whats it called.????? Oh yeah my concince would have to advise the other trader it was a bad trade for them.

If this was a joking question i can understand the other person to an extent. so many people just click away and never edit the offers. I know i have sent many many trade requests with a note that i would trade well for the pin but this is whats on your wants that i have. It has created some good trades for me

Of course there are those who send out trade requests to see if they get any bites from less skuled or egumikated kidz.

Happy trades

Just to add, translation i totally agree but i never just delete them. I have a saved word document that i send in reply whenever this happens to me. most times i get no reply but sometimes i get a reply thanking me for the info and that they were new or didnt know they could add a note or even edit their requests.

deleting the trade offer only continues the uncorrected issue, providing a reply with information can help to reduce this type of continious problem

Happy trades

GhostTrains... Does your word document tell how to edit a trade request? If so would you send a copy to me. I agree that this is probably from a newbe. I didn't know and have no idea how to edit a request. I have not sent any out because I don't know what is fair. I am a newbe and on DPF I can explain it and I receive help in understanding a fair trade and they will look at my traders and have made counter offers. If you don't at least respond the person never learns and gets fustrated with trading. They may even have a pin that you really want or may wiling trade 2 or 3 pins for it. I know I have done this when others on DPF have asked. If you really want to trade it they may really want it and don't understand the whole concept. It never hurts to counter offer.

Nothing to get over for me. I really just found it humorous. It may be a new trader, it may not be. I just thought it was funny that once I finally have a good pin to trade, I've been getting ridiculous requests like this. I'm not upset or anything... more entertained than anything else.

Supertrader, I know that you found it humorous and just wanted to share. I tried to preface my statement with that acknowledgement. I just sort of when on a tangent because I have seen other threads where people get their panties in a twist because they receive lopsided trade requests.
