So I received my first ever Disney pin trade request about a month ago from Judy, aka TiggerMickey. (this was 2/11/2012)
She explained to me what I should expect, how to package and ship the pin, and how to go about completing the trade. As I am new to trading, I offered to ship my pin first since I had no previous references for trading. She was very kind and generous and I appreciate that she trusted me enough to offer to ship at the same time.
So a couple days after agreeing to the trade, we both shipped off our packages, and I hear back from her saying that she'd received her pin in the mail and had left me feedback and a kind reminder for me to reciprocate when I'd received my pin.
Well a couple days went by, then a few, and all this while we're emailing back and forth wondering where the supposedly delivered (according to delivery confirmation) package has gone. Delivery confirmation stated that the package was delivered 2/13/12. Yeah... I never got it.
So after 2-3 days after it was supposed to have been delivered, I tracked down my postman and asked him about the package. He said that he was off that day and someone else had delivered the mail, so I would have to call the USPS main branch to ask them about it. So I called our main branch, spoke to a couple of people, was put on hold a few times, and finally spoke to a manager who basically said that once it's marked "Delivered" then it's out of their hands. They're not responsible for what happens to it after that point.
So needless to say I was a bit upset seeing as for my very first trade, my pin got lost.
I left positive feedback anyway because it was no fault of Judy's that her package was lost in the mail, and there wasn't really anything that could be done at this point.

Guess what I received in the mail today?
LOL. Almost an entire month later, I receive a package that looks exactly like the one Judy described to me, and upon turning it over, I see Judy's address, and comments such as "Fragile", "careful opening please", and the date printed all over the package along with a delivery confirmation sticker that has the barcode crossed through.
And to think I had just given up hope of ever seeing the package or pin!
