So I bought these 2 Jessica Snowman pins on ebay and they were listed as AP. I won the auctions for the gold and silver, unfortunately someone else won the black. They are beautifully made, one would never even think that they might be scrappers, however the back does not say AP, the back only includes the same information as you would find on one of the 100 from the original production line. So of course I'm a little concerned. I have never bought an AP pin myself so I don't really know much, but I was under the impression that they were marked as such. Is this always the case? Has anyone ever bought an AP in directly from Disney that wasn't marked AP? How can I be certain? It does seem odd that if these were counterfeit pins that the person would go to the trouble to have them made in all 3 colored metals. Any advice on AP pins would be appreciated, as I would like to trade them, but don't want to trade fake pins.

It's really late for me, so I will post pictures later of the front and back so at the very least those of you who have the LE100 can compare yours and identify any differences. I've had a lot of bad luck recently with counterfeit pins from ebay so I'm notably concerned.

I don't know about your pin, but I do know not all APs are marked. If you go look at the auction catalog for the upcoming pin event, you'll see a few AP sets listed as not stamped AP in the description.
Why not ask the seller how they got them?

Yes photos please, and if you can send me the link to the ebay auction I can see if I can tell if they seem legit.

Most of the Gold / Silver / Black Artist Proof pins are unique 1 of a kind (according to prior posting data) and were not marked AP / PP. It was thought that at least 2 of them being on unique back metals would be proof enough. I also suspect they did not anticipate anyone willing breaking up the trio of unique pins.

I am aware that they are "one of a kind" well at least the gold and black, but when there is no marking to let a person know that they are the AP, then there is no way to tell an AP from a regular LE. I would have loved to get all 3, but since they were not sold as a set I unfortunately was only able to win 2 of the 3 auctions, as I stated originally. And indeed the best way to tell is as a set, however I know lots of people who have broken up the sets, so it seems as if that's not a viable option. I will ask the seller how they obtained them, maybe that will prove to be valuable, however if they are selling counterfeits, which I have no idea if they are, I don't know that I can trust their answer. I will see if I can find the link, as I bought them about a month ago.

Above is the ebay URLs of the auctions and then a picture I took. The person selling doesn't have any negative feedback, but I truly don't think that means much. Sellers bully buyers into not leaving negative feedback simply because they gave them a refund. I've bought pins that I know were counterfeits, because I had an original that I bought myself from sellers with thousands of feedback and a perfect rating. I took a picture of the back, but it didn't turn out so well so I will have my aunt who is a professional photographer take a new one tomorrow. The color is a little off, but it shows the details of the pin pretty well. Hopefully this helps! Sorry the picture is so large, haven't figured that part out yet, but at least you can see it in great detail. Thanks again everyone!

AP pins don't always have the AP stamp. I purchased 2 A/P sets directly from the Disney Store last year - one set came with the stamp and one didn't.

I have this pin too my pin looks exactly like your too pins and i know my pin for a fact is authentic so i think your pretty safe on that party but as for ap u got me there
