My daughter and I recently found out that we have a genetic debilitating disease. Although slow progressing and non fatal, it is painful and difficult to deal with.
It has been so hard to find out that I am sick, but devastating to find that my 13 year old has it worse than me, and although I couldn't help it, knowing I gave it to her.

I just wanted to let you all know that your acts of kindness have not gone unnoticed, life has been a little sweeter and a little brighter because of the kindness and caring shown by many of our DPF members.

Li, David and other anonymous people have teamed up to make sure we feel the Disney magic!
Thanks!

Li, this is what we were able to purchase because of you helping us sell our PODM collection. I would have never been able to do it, it took all I had within me to even make the decision to part with the collection. You took the time to research prices, copy pictures, and all the hard work of coordinating the sale.

Kaelin and I sincerely thank you!

Im so sad to hear that you and your daughter have a disease. I know exactly how you feel. About 2 years ago I learned that I have a genetic debilitating disease as well. It brings me so much pain. And this year we learned that my identical twins have it also. Made me feel awful and so sad!

I am so sorry to hear that you and your daughter have this awful illness. It is amazing that you have had so much help on the forum and that those above mentioned have helped you sell your pomh collection, which I am sure was hard, but when it comes down to it; health is much more important. Thank you for sharing the photos and I really do hope that you and your daughter feel much better soon.

How wonderful they are! the wonderful people on this forum are truly magical. I am so sorry you are not well and hope that you will not have to suffer much pain from it and can heal and feel better, if you ever need anything I am just a PM away.

Oh wow, sending you and your daughter a lot of love at this difficult time, it's so nice and refreshing to hear of kindness on the DPF and how's it's helped you both....all the best for the future xxxx

I am so sorry to hear about your family's diagnosis. I am happy to hear about the support given to you by members of the forum. I enjoy seeing all the support given to each other here. From the games to support people who are ill to this help of selling your pins at a time that is hard for you. The support is uplifting at a time that is troubled. Take care.

Kudos to you for facing something scary and (almost) heart braking head on. I know how hard it must have been to part with your PoDM pins, but you did what a loving mom would do.

You daughter is gorgeous and I hope she will walk into a bright future regardless of the challenges this sinister disease imposes on her.

Li and David are always awesome. Always willing to help and trying to make a difference for others. I love reading Li's sound advice to people who go through troubles - let it be rental problems or financial challenges.

David ... he will always have a special place as the person who helped me make my very first trade on Pinpics and showed me the ropes.

Cheers to you and your girly!
