We have gotten to the part where we have let the kittens out and they are allowed to wander the house. It's interesting. The two tabbies are usually the first ones out the door. The little tabby girl usually runs straight to the dog dish and starts eating, even though there's always a full dish of kitten kibble in their room. They have made it up the stairs to the kitchen, living and family rooms. As far as I know, they have not wandered downstairs yet to the basement level.
They spent the weekend playing upstairs for the most part. The little skinny Siamese keeps wanting to sit with us, mostly next to me, and just chill. I'm worrying a little because she's not as active as the others. She also has this really weak, eyes half-closed look most of the time. Josh says she's fine and gave her a semi-private feeding last night to make sure she got enough to eat. After a later dinner, she was running around and playing before bed, so I felt better about that.
The grey female was a little love bug yesterday afternoon too. She came up while we were sitting in the recliners and kept walking back and forth and rubbing against Josh's face. I laughed and said that his beard must have felt good to her.
The fluffy Siamese is a nut! Lol. She loves running around and tackling things.
The black male is hilarious. He does the Halloween cat pose for so many things: the dog, the adult cats, sometimes us. He doesn't really with his siblings, though.

We have foster kittens too right now, about 5 weeks old. Eating well but one is still spicy and really doesn’t like people. We haven’t let them roam yet.

Yeah, and kitten season. This is our first foster litter since 2019 I think. Before that we had like 4 sets.

This litter is a lot of fun, but they also require a lot of attention still. I really like having people friendly kittens, but some of these are so needy! Lol. The taller, thin kittens are always wanting to see what we're doing. Eating is not simple. The "oatmeal" colored Siamese is constantly climbing my pant leg to get to the table. But she loves to cuddle. We took a nap together in the recliner earlier.
The grey one still loves to rub against chins and is currently sitting on my shoulder, sort of. As soon as I typed that, she started rubbing against my chin again.
Josh has the spotted and the striped tabbies. They are quite a pair. The male with the white feet is a great kitten! Not too clingy, but still super friendly and curious about what the human is doing. He plays by himself just fine most of the time. He is the pick of the litter personality-wise.
The striped female is super sweet. She looks like she has shorter legs. Josh says she's a cute little talkative thing.
The fluffy Siamese is such a character. We've started to believe that she's kind of a mini-Meowse. (I toyed with naming her Minnie Meowse.) She very pretty and sweet and super playful. However, she doesn't seem to be the brightest kitten (hence, reminding us of Meowse). But she is so much fun to watch! She loves playing by herself. She loves playing the cat iPad game. She does so well at it and again, it's super cute to watch.
Also, feeding time with these guys is... loud. Lol. They are demanding little guys.

The kittens are getting bigger and are so playful! The fluffy Siamese is just about 3 pounds and is bigger than any of the other kittens. She is super independent. She would be ready to go if that family still wants to adopt her.
The smallest one now is the tabby girl. She is 2 pounds 3 ounces. She has a ways to go. She is so food driven and is always trying to get at what I'm eating. And she'll eat just about anything!
The skinny Siamese (we really need to give them names, don't we?) is very much the same. Always wants to get to our food. She's still such a cuddle bug, a lot like the black one (my god-niece named Jackson) and the grey girl. They are always on our shoulders, necks and chest.
The picture of the Jackson all sprawled out was from a few minutes ago. He fell asleep on the stack of blankets on the couch and we just realized he was laying like that. Funny boy.
The picture of the skinny Siamese's bottom is from where she climbed up onto a higher up area and fell asleep on the blanket there. This litter has been doing that a lot. But they're usually facing us. If you zoom in on the picture before that one (with the tabbies sleeping), you can actually see her on the blankets (last photo).

The kittens are just about to weight and will be going back to the Humane Society next weekend. We named the gray one Graycie for now. The fluffy one is being called Princess Fluffy.
They are at the point where they are so curious and playful that they are annoying some times, but still so much fun to watch!

So, we are at a spot that has never happened before. The shelter says they can only take 3 of the kittens on Sunday for Monday's surgery. The other three will have to go the week after. We've never had to split them up before. We're thinking the two boys and Princess Fluffy. She doesn't seem to care whether she's with the others or not, so if she's with different female kittens, she should be okay. Then we'll have the three girls for another week or so, so they can all be together.
We also named the two tabbies. We're calling the male Spot (he has spots) and the female Britney (Josh says because she's cute). We know the names change as soon as they're adopted, so they'll do.
Princess Fluffy is such a great kitten. She loves to follow us around like a puppy. She also really loves the shaggy dog bed and is sleeping on it a lot. She trills in such a sweet way. But it seems that she's taught Spot and Britney how to trill too because they were both trilling tonight. I love hearing cats make those noises! It's such a happy sound.

We went to a cat cafe last week. It was really cool. You get to pet all the cats that are available for adoption.
And I have been Foster visiting so I got to pet kittens at two of my friends houses. Now I have little scratches
on my hands.
