I know that there are a few posts about plastic and cork in your pin book. But that seems like step two. Right now my pins sit in shoe boxes and they want to get out! I know some do binders with card sheets and others do Park bags made just for this purpose. Are there other options? What about custom bags?

I have both, binders with cardholders and park pin bags. I personally like the bigger pin bags myself. They have plenty of room to expand once you have put your pins in and pockets to put larger sets like booster sets in them.

Are we talking collection, or traders?

Here's generally how I decide:

-Big, beautiful pins go on cork boards or in frames
-Box jumbos and framed sets stay in their boxes and go on a special shelf
-Pins that have words or aren't very visual (but I want to keep anyway) go in binders with 9 card sleeves, by character. ESPECIALLY if they have a specialized backing card.
-Pins that didn't come with a backing card, or have a plain backing card go in pin bags
