Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
when are these dolls going to be released I'm a little bit confused about the date

Can anyone in the uk tell me what time the dolls get released on the uk website? My aunt in London says she'll get me Elsa as a Christmas present and I want to tell her what time the website releases the dolls. Is it midnight like it is here?

So the doll set was released last Friday when the Disney Store opened for the first time in Harrods. So the set release was to commemorate the opening of the store. By doll set I am referring to the limited edition set of Anna and Elsa with only 100 units produced as pictured by tank_girl above.

The individual LE dolls with individual LE's of 2,500 will be released on Wednesday Nov 20th both in store (when the store opens) and online (at midnight PST).

The UK website updates the same time that the US one does so 12am on the west coast in the US is 8am in the UK. So the dolls will be available online on the 20th of Nov in the UK from 8am or in store when they open. Hope this makes sense. If anyone in the UK wanted to clarify or correct this please feel free to do so as I figured you guys would know better than I would!

Is that still taking into account daylight savings?we recently gained an hour I mean last time it was 8am for Ariel and that was in Summer, now it's winter will it changea nything? (Just checking! I'm confused!)

Nope it's definitely 8am, the clocks go forward and back to make the most of the daylight hours which change in spring and autumn so the time is the same but we gained an hour to have more sunlit hours during the day as it gets dark so quickly!

That's a good point to raise serafina but even though the UK finished DST two weeks ago the US did as well on Sunday which means that since both countries stopped DST at the same time the time variations between both countries are still the same so the UK is still 8 hours ahead of the West Coast (PST).

It is more confusing for us Aussies because we actually take up DST as we are on the southern hemisphere so what that means is that where 12am in California used to be 5pm here in Australia because you guys stopped DST but we started it up that means 12am in Cali will not be 7pm in the southern parts of Australia. Where I live we dont take up DST at all so we are still on the same time so our new 5pm is now 6pm. LOL sorry I hope I didnt lose anyone there haha.

Wow...ignorant American moment in 3...2...1
OTHER CONTRIES DO DAY LIGHT SAVINGS TIME TOO!?!?
I live in Arizona and we don't participate in dst. I'm all over here wondering if it'll be Midnight, 1am, or 2am for me and then I kind of had my mind blown by that. Learn something new everyday.

I agree with what others have said. I tried canceling Ursula and Eric and thought I did but they came through anyway. I'm trying to trade them to get rid of them but have been really unsuccessful with Eric so far. Someone mentioned you can help people on hear who missed them, but unless you jump fast most of them will already get their doll pretty quickly from someone else if they wanted it. Buy online with caution if you plan to go in store too, you might get stuck with a second set if you're not careful!

Thanks so much for all the responses everyone! Obviously it's not quite the answer I was hoping for, but now I can at least make an informed decision of which way to go. Looks like I will have to choose between online or in store as the main reason of getting them in store is to avoid the hassle of shipping across the border (so getting two sets would be self defeating). *siiiiiiiigh* Oh Disney, why must you do these things to me?

- If anybody is in the Calgary area, South centre mall will be the only place to get the LE Anna & Elsa dolls. & they're only gonna have 5 of each. It would've been 6 but I'm assuming they're saving one of each for the cast members.

Anyone else realise that even though Eric sold out fast (not as fast as Ursula but still fast) he doesn't seem to be as in demand on the secondary market as the other dolls? Do you think this will affect future male doll releases? I know initial sales from Disney appeared successful due to the hype but do you guys think this trend of male dolls will continue?

speaking of trends what does everyone think of the exclusive Anna and Elsa doll at Harrods? I saw it as a commemoration of the opening of the Disney store at Harrods. So I am hoping that that will only ever happen once and that a set like this will never happen again?? Or at least it will not be a frequent release. It is strange because it was also around this time last year that Disney did a double pack doll release with Merida and Elinor being released last year. Do you guys think this double pack will be an annual thing? I agree with others in that with this double frozen pack they should have put both girls in either their coronation outfits or their casual outfits so that they complement one another and then have the single dolls in whichever one they are not I in in the double pack.

Also i do hope they release an Anna in her snow gear outfit during the bluray release as I think she will look amazing in that outfit as there is so much potential in it. Just like Merida is in her adventure gear.

I think they will continue to release other male LE dolls, but they will most likely leave them in small edition sizes. Even though Eric is not selling for a lot on the secondary market Disney did manage to sell out of him so I would say Eric was successful. In any case the ones not having success are the sharks who hoped to make big bucks on him. However, there is a trend with these dolls that seems pretty consistent for the majority of them. You get the hype before and during the first couple of days of the release and then a slow decline in price. Then they slowly start going up again. It is possible that a couple of years from now Eric will go up in the secondary market, it has happened with other dolls that did not seem to pick up in the beginning and Eric was the first male LE doll, so that may have an impact on some people.
Either way, I think Disney will continue to release the princes and other male dolls the demand is there. I just hope they start doing male LE Villain dolls too. I would really love to see a Dr. Facilier and a Hades.

I think Disney and Harrods will continue to do exclusives. When I collected Barbies and Tonner dolls FAO Schwarz always had exclusive limited editions but maybe twice the price, not like the Harrod's price.
