Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
Even though we've been told there won't be a Kristoff.. I'm still holding out on a tiny bit of hope that there's a surprise one  ! If they make a Hans I will pass on him so at least that's £60 saved

Who said there wont be a Kristoff? I dont believe a surprise LE has been confirmed or denied just yet.

Yeah, that drove me nuts because people kept talking about getting their Ariels before the official release date, yet mine took forever because she was initially sent to wrong location. My state is connected to TN. People in FL should not have been receiving her before I did. LOL. Lucky me, she was in perfect condition.

If they make a doll of one of the males in Frozen, I really hope its Kristoff. I think his outfit is so much more unique and would make a great 17" collectors doll. I have to say, I would be really surprised if they released more Frozen dolls, we have already had 4, the most any film has seen so far, but the DS always keeps us on our toes, lol.

I havent heard that they will or won't make a Kristoff either. Im hoping for a surprise release of him. But I agree, if they do Hans, I wont buy him. So money saved there for any Sleeping Beauty releases.

Well not told directly but hinted that there won't Be! But I'm still hoping for a kristoff 

Fair enough, I think I am with you, I sorta have a feeling deep down that they wont be releasing a Kristoff (due to having 4 dolls based on Frozen already) but I am hoping that I am wrong and that they may just release one. I just like the fact that he is very different compared to all the previous princes and would be amazing to get a LE of him so that we have something different and I know Disney loves surprising us with something different

Don't want to be a party pooper here but I'm kinda hoping they don't make any more frozen dolls. Only because the more they make for this movie means they might make more and more for the next movie and I think 4 is enough. I still haven't seen frozen, probably won't until it is out on blu ray, but this year is Sleeping Beauty- I am so looking forward to that! Think of the dolls (and I'm really hoping not more than 4... my wallet can't cope with that! )

If they do make a 17" Hans doll.. Would he be wearing his coronation outfit? or the regular clothes with the coat? And more importantly.... is he going to have rooted sideburns?

I don't think they will ever do a Hans, as a CM at my store said that they just don't sell -- even now. How many of you have gone to your DS and the only doll that is left is Hans?

If Disney surprised us with a set of dolls of Hans and Kristoff, it wouldn't surprise me, but I probably wouldn't get them. I wouldn't buy Hans to begin with and, as much as I like Kristoff, I just wont be able to afford him. I'm already spending around $240 or more for the two Frozen dolls and the Frozen Collectors Edition Blu-ray with the lithographs! Plus, as I posted in my new thread yesterday, this year is pretty much the year of Maleficent what with the new Maleficent movie and the Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition coming out. So I have to save some extra cash for the collectible merchandise coming out for those films (and hopefully a 17 inch doll of Maleficent...PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN DISNEY).

I have a friend who has duplicate wedding Rapunzel dolls and is looking to trade for another le doll. Which of the le dolls would be considered a fair trade for a 17" le wedding Rapunzel?

I loved Kristoff but I do not know if I would buy an LE doll of him. When they made Eric they made him 18" which was a problem as the boxes are designed more for 17" dolls which caused a part of his head to be cut off by the box because of how tall he was. This made me decide right away that I was not interested in acquiring him because he did not look very appealing with a part of his head out of view and so if they were to make an LE Kristoff they would have to do something about the box in order for me to consider buying him. Not to say that Kristoff would not look awesome as a doll considering how detailed and well made the 12" one is.

If I were you I would go to the Disney Limited Edition Dolls Informative Thread to see how much it is currently going for on the second hand market and compare that to the prices of other LE dolls that have been released to see what would be a fair trade.

Unfortunately, due to the high edition size and the fact that she is from a short, Wedding Rapunzel is the lowest valued of the dolls (despite being well-made and lovely). Her monetary value is about at retail, so they might consider asking for a higher value doll and offering cash to make up the difference. Otherwise probably Merida or 1-2 of the Designer Villains.

Have Eric '18 or Ursula '17 for sale!! Sale price is $110+$15 shipping!! Brand new/ never opened!!

Dont forget there are quite a few other LE dolls that are 18" including Cinderella and her head was not cut off by the box, but I do agree the fact that he looked too tall for his box was slightly off putting. Maybe it was his stance within the box or just the design of the box but it is possible for them to make 18" dolls and still fit them in the box, unfortunately for Eric this was not the case.

I just had a thought was Cinderella 18" because of her hair updo? Maybe that is why with her being 18" we can still see her face as the extra inch is her hair?

With Eric, this could have easily been fixed had they just made the window bigger... Maybe they'll make them 17.25 or 17.5" long...

As for Sleeping Beauty, I can see them doing the following:

1. LE 5000 Aurora (most likely in her pink dress)
2. LE 1500 Phillip
3. LE 3000 Maleficent

Cause there are no other characters that they could make dolls for, unless they do a set with the 3 fairies.

=) Awesome! Thanks for telling me!!! Ok, hahaha maybe not highly likely, but I think it is a possibility at least. It's not as though Eric did as bad as the Merida and Elinor set did, so I don't think that would discourage them from making Hans and/or Kristoff. Although if they do only do one I agree with the popular vote and hope that it is Kristoff. They did make an Animators Collection of him so I think he's got a pretty good chance of being the next LE

Does anyone considering selling their Lady Tremaine 17 inch doll? I really would like to buy one without selling an arm or a leg. I cant really buy her right now as I am saving up for the Anna and Elsa limited edition dolls and the Frozen Blu-ray, but I would like to discuss a transaction with someone.

Yes, both LE Tiana and LE Cinderella are officially considered 18" dolls according to DS.com, because of their updos, which apparently make up the extra inch. The dolls (sans hair) are actually the same height as the other standard female LE dolls.

Awww man I hope so.

I want all three.

I know it won't happen, but that makes me want an LE doll set of the three fairies all in the same box, kind of like Merida and Elinor. How cute would that be?!
That reminds me of the Classic set of the three fairies. I saw it when looking at someone's collection on Flickr. I didn't even realize until then that they made a DS box set of the three fairies. It is adorable.
