How far in advance does Disney notify us on the release dates of upcoming limited edition pins?
 
depends on the pin, and where it is being released.

DS.com:: they dont tell you usually, it just shows up for sale.
DSF 1-2 months in advance is a flyer and Facebook info.
In parks, you can see upcoming pins at PTN's, and also online at the whats hapining site.
 
Members here are good about sharing release information and posting pics of up coming releases. I mainly only use this forum to gather my information as its very informative.
 
How does someone go about buying a limited edition pin? How far in advance should you wait in line and do you need a special wristband? Will they be behind the counter or with the regular pins? thanks in advance!
 
LE releases vary depending on character and location....

DSF releases are usually a wristband event. Contact them for good details.

Park releases.. most are first come first serve, limit 2 per person. Usually on the shelves for anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks... PODM's are an exception. both park sell out day one. DLR does wrist bands for that release. WDW has not dont wrist bands yet for PODM.
