I sent a Frozen pin 11 days ago and it has not made it to the person I sent it too.Has anyone ever had a pin get lost by USPS?Do I have any recourse with the USPS if I did not have insurance on it?

Yes I have had them go missing. Do you have a dc#? If you do go to your local post office and have them check on it. No the post office will not reimburse you for the pin unless you sent it priority mail.

^^What David said. You should have some type of tracking on it if it was sent as a package. Even if you declined to pay for tracking, there is a postal ID # on the package that can be used internally to track it.

I sent it 1st class with tracking it has not been scanned since May 9th and the person I sent it to has not received it.

Unfortunately this seems to be the norm any more at the PO. If the pins have any kind of value, I insure them instead. You can use the ins # on the slip to track the package via USPS's website. If they can't get our pins where they need to be, they are going to have to pay for it!!

I had this happen once. I sent a pin from West to East and it took more than two weeks
but finally arrived about the time I was going to send another. Luckily it was a pin I had
more than one of, but that doesn't always happen. I do know, like others have said,
that there is a number on your receipt that can be used to "track" the package in the
USPS system, just not online.
