lost pins in mail?

Has anyone ever had pins lost in the mail? Did you ever recover it again ?
I sent a valuble pin through first class international a month ago and buyer never got it. How long should i wait before giving up :/

I had this happen to me but the person said she would wait for another release that she would like but in the end the pin arrived it took 2 months to arrive which is really stupid I even put my address on the back to send it back to me if lost but that didn't happen it's the tangled uk pin that went missing the person was happy in the end and didn't even blame me or get the mods involved which I thought was really nice of her I would recommend for you to wait a little longer it mite be stuck going through customs as my pin didn't arrive to the person after 2 months hope this helps

I mailed a pin to Germany that took two months to get there. It was a pin I offered in a trade auction.
Luckily, the trader there knew it took a long time for things to get through customs and was patient.
Sometimes you can "track" the pin on USPS.com with the customs number.

I recently received a pin that had been in the mail for 4 months. I never thought it would show up. Usually I will wait for up to 2 months before I start to get really worried about overseas trades.
