Good evening all - just wanted to ask whether checking if a pin is magnetic is "the"test for determining authenticity. Forgive me if this has been answered before. I could've sworn I read that magnetic pins are usually scrapers, but that it wasn't a guarantee. Am I remembering wrong? I had a CM at WDW today declare this test as gospel. Just wanted to check and couldn't find the answer when I looked.

Also the central pin booth at Epcot had mystery cats/dogs set out today, and I got one I didn't want. Hah my luck of course! :)
