:hsd: Due to closure, the pin traders who use to sit at the tables in Carnation Gardens Plaza have relocated to an area called Disney Yacht Club. I don't know if that's an official name and on the Disneyland map, but it is directly behind the turkey leg hut, opposite of the Matterhorn entrance. Look for the covered area with tables and chairs! It's a great location, so stop by and make a few trades! Last Sunday was the first day there, so please pass the word, and of course, this location is pending any Disney security issues. And as a side note, because families also use the area for eating, please be prepared to share table space! Hope to see you there!

naw, the smoking section is a ways down the path, past the art creations and face painting booth. :) Not to say that I havent seen smokers who think they own the park stop there to smoke. lol

I dont think disney will make the park smoke free.... But at least they limit the smokers to certain areas, if only CM's would enforce the rule better!

back to topic... I always liked that little area, the ducks are very friendly there.

Is this near the smoking section?

The smoking section is not that close, however, we did get a wiff every now and then because of the direction the wind was blowing. It doesn't linger as long as there is a breeze. A few seconds, and the air is clear. I don't care for the smell of smoke either.

UPDATE! It was reported on 5-11-12 that this area was closed off, but as of 5-12-12, the trading area is again open! Perhaps it may have been closed for cleaning or inspection.

Lobbying for a new rule that will make the smoking section at the bottom of the motorboat lagoon or outside the park fence

A true pin trader is a determined individual and will find a way and a place to pin trade, lol! Having said that, I sure hope Disney will continue to have places for us to meet, greet, trade, and refresh ourselves! Nothing like some popcorn and a cold drink (and some chocolate for me, lol!), to add to the pin trading experience!! Wish I could be in the park more often ... sadly I live too far away and only get there a couple of times a year (if I'm lucky)! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and HAPPY PIN TRADING!! *bjr
P.S. To all my pin buddies ... Hi!! Hope you are all well and safe!
