My D23 adventure
Hey just thought I would give an overview of my one and only day at the D23 Expo today, so woke up brought and early, 6am, to get ready and drove down to Anaheim arrive at the convention center around 7. I was shocked to see that there were about 800 people already in line and the discussions with the D23 members around me start the dy with very low expectations as all of them said Friday wad terrible. Got let in at 8 and went straight to the arena for the Disney Studio presentation, wasn't expecting much. Animation began the presentation and the celebrities/upcoming movies were all excellent most notable was the movie based off an 8-bit video game character wreck it Ralph the opening was amazing. The brave presentation also made me want to see the movie even more. Then they gave out cupcakes to everyone to celebrate 25 years of pixar. Next up was live action all I really remember was Jennifer Gardner and the Tim Burton movie. Next was the chimpanzee movie which looked interesting but then, Avengers closed the show in amazing fashion with nearly the entire cast present, for about 10 seconds, leaving the arena was horrendous but after about 30 minutes of pushing I finally had my phone and camera back. After this I decided to check out the floor which was actually very nicely set up. Went to buy pins next but almost everything I wanted was sold out managed to get the stitch Hollywood stained glass and a piece of star tours. After this I traded pins for about an hour or two, got an AP kisses pin and a then and now thunder mountain off the trading board which was good enough for me. I met the greatest pin collector ever, he had all the masterpiece pins, real, and several htf older disneyshopping and auctions pins and got the jumbo stitch coin in a trade with him, the most pleasant trade I have ever made. I then spent the remained of the day buying stitch pins and then it was 7 so no more expo for me. I planned to go to DLR after but an "invisible" pole decided to hit my car in the parking lot leaving the convention center I didt even know I was parked next to a pole and it was in my blind spot, oh well life goes on. I decided to come home after this cause I didn't want to speed my grumpiness to the park overall I had a great day though and wouldnt change a thing. Except for that pole being there
