I have been working on this collection for several years. My goal is to find a pin to represent each Disney animated movie. I think that Tangled was considered the 50th animated feature, so with WIR and Frozen, that would make 52. Some of my criteria/guidelines:

*The pin must have the name of the movie; if it also has the year of release, even better
*Pins that capture moments actually in the film are preferred
*Live action and Pixar movies are in separate collections

I haven't started a real display, I just have them on an empty board for now. Here is what I have so far:

One idea I had for a display was to have one character from the film next to each title pin, but I have no ability to configure things into eye-pleasing arrangements. Maybe someone who is more of a spatial thinker will guide me.

What an amazing collection, I love your theme - I never would have thought of that! I also like your idea to put a character from the film next to the title pin. I'm sure there are some good pin displayers out there to offer suggestions for your board. Post pictures when it's finished!

Do you mean a pin of one character from the film or a picture/art/matte-type of one character?

If you mean the second, you could create a frame like this:

where you put the pin in the white square. The time-consuming part would be to find pictures/scenes of each of the movies and crop them to the same size/dimensions and create the white squares all the same size etc. and then print and paste and layout them against your corkboard.

Thanks for all the kind words, and for the idea jazzytrumpet. It's been a slow process getting the exact pins as I've been very specific (picky) about which ones I want for the collection. Usually for each movie, I only find one that I really like. So you can imagine it takes some time to track them down, but eventually if you stick with it, they turn up!
