I just started collecting pins and i bought one of the mystery pouches and got these two pins. I have not seen these for sale anywhere now do all the pouches have ouns that are not sold individually are they less or more collectable?

ok cant upload pics from my ipad so i will add them right now from the computer gimme a minute.

Have you found them on pinpics? What do they look like?

As for whether a pin is collectible, it's collectible if you like it and want it for your collection. Only a very small subset of pins can be counted on to increase in value over the long term (apart from a couple of notable exceptions, like the reveal/conceal girls, mystery pouch pins are not likely to increase in monetary value). I would advise you to collect pins because you like them, not as an investment.
 
I am definitely collecting for pleasure not investment, just really wanted to know if the mystery pouches contain pins not sold individually in the stores?

Im still trying to learn to upload to the posts, i put the pics in an album but cant find the manage attachments option in the posts...

And are the mystery pouch pins only available in the pouches or are they also sold individually in the store?
 
It's this one: Pin 82322: DLR - 2011 Hidden Mickey Series - World Of Color Fountain Collection - 'Geyser' but it's a hidden mickey so I don't know why it would be in a mystery pouch.
 
Thanks pargani. So its a harder pin to get? Are hidden mickey pins generally sold individually. And do the pouches normally contain pins also sold individually in the store?

So whats the hidden mickeys?
 
Also is the caterpillar from alice in wonderland in my avy sold individually?

So I guess my daughter got lucky choosing the pouch, so she shouldn't trade them off I guess if they are harder to find?

And when will I be able to post attachments?

The caterpillar is this one: Pin 82311: DLR - 2011 Hidden Mickey Series - Alice In Wonderland Comics Collection - Caterpillar

I see in the Pinpics description that this one was being sold in mystery pouches too (see King Niptune's comment above).

Hidden mickeys are released on cast lanyards (ie. guests get them by trading with cast members). As King Niptune mentioned, they're sometimes also sold in mystery pouches. Hidden mickey pins generally aren't hard to find pins, although certain ones may be hard to track down in the first few months after they're released. What is difficult is avoiding the fakes/scrappers that are now everywhere. At least with the mystery pouch bought from Disney you can be sure that they are authentic pins.

Hidden Mickey pins are not sold individually in the stores and were generally only available by trading with a cast member or other traders who got them from trading with cast members. The pouch pins are a little new for selling the previous years pins, I guess.

Collectable? Depends upon who you ask. Lots of people like the Hidden Mickey pins and lots don't care much for them. Just like every other pin, it's an individual like or dislike.

Thanks for that. Sorry for the newb questions, we have been passholder for a while now, but just barely got a lanyard and a few pins yesterday, just a mystery pouch and a stitch with a mickey hat and ice cream cones.

Is there a thread with all the mystery pack pins available?

Thanks my main question was if you could buy the contained pins individually, but I guess you also answered my question, the hidden pins where mostly from trading with cast members, thank you
