Need advice from a WDW person.

So I'm going on a trip to WDW in January. The week before PTN :/ anywho, I was looking at some stuff online, and noticed something called Disney Quest. Saw the price, but was wondering what people that are local to the area think about it. Worth it? Also, any other cool ideas of things to do while we are there would be greatly appreciated!

Disney Quest is fun, I think you'd really enjoy it. I've gotten "free" admission on my visits to the world to Disney Quest with both my multi-day park hopper ticket, and with my Premiere pass. I'm not sure how much it costs, but if it's marginal it's definitely worth a shot. I think you said you're getting in to the parks with a CM, right? Do they have any additional sign ins for Disney Quest?

If you will be traveling with a WDW CM, they get a day at Disney Quest in the 2011 Holiday Celebration booklet/ticket thingy. Normally, there aren't sign ins for DQ, but they usually have discounts. Right now, with a Maingate pass they are $21.50.

That is how I experienced my one trip to DQ. If you like video games, then it is a fun thing to do. I've never really been in a Dave & Busters/Jillians/Gameworks before, but I think they are sort of similar. Lots of arcade games, pinball games, air hockey tables and such. Plus, there are a few games that are unique to Disney. The best one, being the Pirates of the Caribbean game. Only, those have a low capacity, so it can be quite a wait for them.

I agree with grimgrinner, disney quest is alot of fun and they have some good food too. Plan on being there awhile cause it takes some time getting through it.

If you like video games and virtual reality type stuff you should love it. I took my daughter and 4 of her friends for her birthday this year and they had a blast. Then I made the error of buying them all a tube of sugar before we got in the car to head back to Tampa.

Yep! We did it 4 times, so each of us in our group could be the captain.

Sounds like it's worth a shot

DQ is great for a partial day, usually 4 or 5 hours. I get motion sick on sims now so I can no longer do half of the good stuff there. Miss it though.
have done the winter themed mini golf,, ok, better than most out there but not so great as a don't miss.

Downtown Disney is Big, 4 city blocks long or so, some pin trading on cast but not always good. a few hours of walking around for sure.

we love hotel hopping, just to visit the resorts,cast trading along the way (most concierge desks have pin books) eat and drink in the myriad of restaurants and bars. (big river grill and brewery at boardwalk for the chicken nachos and microbrewed beer) Trails end at FT wilderness campground for a buffet of comfort food. also its good to watch the fireworks from the beach or on the ferryboat from MK on the way. i could go on on places we like (BOMA At Ak lodge)

yeah, i think we might be hotel hopping a bit just to look around. Don't know how much pin trading we will do. We were hoping the PTN would fall on one of the days we're there, but no luck. Oh well. Thanks everyone for the pointers! Seems like there are many things I should look into doing

I did Disney Quest for the first time last week...because I got a Premier Pass (mostly because I'm going to California twice in the next year) so its was included. I would personally say its debateable whether is worth an admission price (around $45 I believe). I will confess I started getting a little queasy on some of the virtual reality games. The Pirates experience was hands down the best of the virtual and what I actually liked best was playing unlimited amounts of old arcade classics.

Yeah, we are still undecided right now. Me and the bro of course will be all about cuz...we're guys. We have the gf's to worry about haha. We will be with a CM from DLR, so i'm not sure what the admission would be. Still undecided! ahhhh!

I'm not local to WDW and have only been there once. Having said that, I would highly recommend Disney Quest! A few of my siblings and I went on one of the rainy days we were there, and we had an absolute blast! There were a lot of fun unique games and definitely not just any old arcade experience. We spent the entire day there Hope this helps!

my one word of warning with Disney Quest is don't go if your at all claustrophobic! It's basically a big windowless box, I've never actually been inside myself but I have a cm friend who had to go in on a tour and couldn't make it the whole way round the building! That aside it does sound like it could be fun on a rainy day
