I am trying to help someone with Beauty & Beast pins, but with less than 2 yrs experience, I am not confident about these.
Here is the pin lot in question:
Here is where we need help:
* The pinpics number for the framed large pin showing B & B dancing. The back of the pin shows Disney Store
* The value of the coveted foot stool pin ? Is this pin #3373 or #60747 ? How can we tell the difference if anybody has this pin?
* The rose-jar pin seems to be 9120. How much would that go for?
I do not have the pins with me, these are just pics I got. It seems that some one made a generous (!) offer of $25 or less for this lot. I felt that someone was trying to take advantage of his situation. Any advice would be appreciated.
Oh, and he knows that the Belle/ Beast pin on the left is a bootleg. Never mind that.
I'm sure that the footstool is 3373. It's the one that came out at DL when they released a bunch of core pins for the movies. The feather duster in the upper left came out in the same batch and the Beast pin at the right bottom corner of that central frame, and the Lumiere just to the right of him all were released a bit later.
The central framed pin is [pinpics]19336[/pinpics]. So that right there, makes an offer of $25 for the lot low, since it's from Japan and has a sub-10 people trading. Some of those early core pins, even though they were open edition can get to the $15+ range, so that's where I would put the footstool.
And the rose jar pin, is part of [pinpics]9117[/pinpics] The other 2 pins from that set are the 2 heads that are in the right middle. I don't think that set has any particular value. I've had it on my trades list for several months now, and never had an offer. OTOH, I've had the CD case pin on my trades list for years, with no real interest. But in the last few months I have had a lot more requests about it. And the number of people trading it, has been dropping.
The rose jar pin is in a 3-pc set with Belle and Beast Profile - I purchased this set from Ebay a few years ago and I probably paid around $10 - $14 if that.
I know that the Beast holding his hand out (first pic on bottom row) is popular - I have seen it sell for £10+ on Ebay UK.
$25 is a bit of a rip off imo asking for that lovely set.
The framed pin is an easel pin missing the easel and is from Japan and very hard to come by.$25 is too low. Some of the pins are common but your best pin is the framed followed by the pin to the left (Belle and Beast half circle). Sorry, can't check the I'd numbers.
Personally that bootleg pins is the one I'm most interested in. So if your friend would be willing to trade that one, please get them to check out my Traders. It represents a scene from Kingdom Hearts, so I'd love to have it, since that's one of my fave video game series.
Me too (to the bootleg pin and my being interested in it). I have the Japan DS pin as well, but no easel (got it in a trade very easily with a trader at the last DLR PTN for a common/rack pin). Got 5 Beauty & the Beast pins for 5 pins - although, I suppose the black & white maleficent that recently came out (I think it was the chaser) may have had something to do with it ;-)
Remember, value is in the eye of the beholder. I have the 3 pin set (that the rose jar came in) and got that in an easy trade for a rack pin too (if I remember correctly, a Bambi/Thumper Grand Californian Hotel pin). Same with the pin on the top right.
