For the nesting dolls packs, I know the mystery packs include around 5 pins for around $27 (plus tax). On average for the nesting dolls, how many packs have to be bought to get a complete/near complete set? Is is worthwhile to buy the packs if there are only certain ones I really want. I wouldn't mind having the full set, but there are for sure pins I want a lot more than others from the packs. Is it safe to buy a complete set on eBay to save money? It seems a full set is going for a lot less than buying a ton of packages, even if I got lucky and only had to buy say 4 packs to get all 16. What are my chances of ending up with 10 Alices or 10 of the fairies, etc by buying the blind bags? Forgive me if I seem dumb, I've never bought blind bags before. I'm stopping at Downtown Disney on my way to the beach this weekend, and I'll only have one chance to buy any mystery packs/complete the nesting dolls series. I live about 18 hours away from Orlando. Just trying to decide how to go about getting these. Thanks!

Also, what other mystery pin packs are available right now? I've tried looking on pin pics, but I can't tell what's still available in the parks and what isn't. Thanks again!

It can be frustrating or very lucky. Most that only want specific pins will buy/trade for them, it's too much of an investment for the few wanted.

It took a friend 8 packs to complete the tsum tsum set. Hope this helps.

Thank you! Yes, very helpful! Maybe I will buy a few packs just to see what I get. Then buy/trade for the rest.

I bought ten of the packs and was able to get them all. I usually do not take the first ten on the rack. I will take random packs off of each peg to try to get a mixture...

You can go on facebook and usually find the whole set at cost (there's 16 of them, $5 each = $80.) A lot of times, people sell for less than that.

Could you recommend a group/page that's safe and scrapper free? Are scrappers even an issue with the nesting doll pins? Thanks!

I have all of these for trade if you need them, and they all came from the mystery packs I bought at Disney Pin Traders at DTD.

You have a few that I want, but I don't have anything to trade yet. I probably will after my trip to Florida!

I have extras, but depending on what you want, you can feel for them through the packages. Some are the same shape, but Tinker Bell, the Fairies and Mary Poppins are different shapes. So when I bought mine I felt for the fairies, and then felt for one that didn't have the Fairies. Normally, I buy the minimum number of packages to complete a set, and then depending on what it is, one more. I'll get most of the way there, and then try to trade or buy the rest.

I work at DAKL, so if stop by during your visit to WDW we can trade. I may even just give them to you. They are doing me no good just sitting in a drawer at my house. :)

Where is DAKL in relation to downtown Disney? We're only stopping in Orlando for a couple hours on our way to the beach. Thanks, that's very sweet of you to offer. I'll do my best to make it work!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is not too far from Downtown Disney. It is at the end of Osceola Parkway, so if you are coming from Downtown Disney you would take Lake Buena Vista Boulevard towards Hollywood Studios, turn left onto Victory Way (there is a Reedy Creek Fire Station on the right at the light). Take Victory Way all the way to where it ends, and then turn right onto Osceola Parkway at the last light (you will see a ESPN Wide World of Sports Sign on the other side of the light). Follow Osceola Parkway (stay in the left hand lane) until you enter Animal Kingdom Lodge. What day are you coming this way?
