I arranged a trade back in September. I sent my pin and she confirmed she received it. When I hadn't received hers after 2 weeks, I sent her an email asking when she sent it. She said she'd mailed it on September 7th. After a couple of months I gave up on it. It was only a mystery box pin, so I just put her on my do-not-trade-with list and forgot about it.

Well today, 5+ months later, it arrived! The postal sticker confirms that she mailed it on September 7th, so it's just been floating around the postal service black hole all this time. Weird, huh?

Wow...that's a relief.though. I know I hate thinking that funny business went on with people I'm trading. You always want to believe the best, and it's great when things work out!

I remember once I made a trade for some really hard to find old princess pins, I sent out an arm and a leg. Only to have the trader say they never received them. I was extremely upset, but sent back the lovely princesses and was out like $150 in pins. There was a negative thought in my head that keep saying, "what if they are lying?"

Turns out, I forgot to put the unit number on the package, and it had been sitting in her mail room for like three weeks! She sent me an email asking if I would like to go through with the original trade, and I responded with a "oh hell yes!! :)"

Haha

oh USPS ....

I'm glad that you at least got your pins! A few months back I sent pins to members here and they just NEVER appeared. I sent them with DC & everything and it just never updated. I called and called and they kept telling me to just wait (this is Sept/Oct 2012) it's almost March 2013 and nothing :( After a a few weeks, I just gave up and gave their pins and money back and it really discouraged me from doing online trading for a little while.

I did a trade once where the person was in the hospital for a while, so the mailman was delivering their packages to the neighbor. After about 6 weeks of waiting, the neighbor finally said something! I was so worried because it was also one of those mega trades for some amazing pins. So glad the pins came for you!

At the beginning of October, I made a trade with a DPF member. At the beginning of Nov, I realized I had never gotten it. She had DC and tracking said it left her area but never anything past that. I bought a replacement on Ebay, and she reimbursed. Then after Christmas traveling, I came home to find the package in my mailbox! I looked up the tracking number, and it had re-entered the system on Dec 22rd in Provo, UT. How it got from FL to Utah, I have no idea. So then I sent the reimbursement money back.

I chalked it up to post offices cleaning everything out to make sure holiday packages were delivered. So packages that had gotten lost in corners somewhere were found and sent off.
