Anyone know what the deal is with a revel on Jan 10th??!! I need to know!

That is correct, it is confirmed that the dolls are going to be released on Jan 10 for preorder set for release on Mar 18.

More than likely it will be Anna in her Snow Gear and Elsa in her Coronation outfit, at the moment it is unsure if we will be getting a Kristoff LE as well.

So they are just going to release a pre-order without any info beforehand? Doesn't sound like Disney. Ariel was announced about two weeks before it was released and the info was posted on a Friday, so shouldn't we be getting some info really soon if they are? Also, will it be a pre-order for both dolls or just one?

Will be for the special addition blu ray/dvd set? Or just dvd? Any price ideas from past releases?

I think it will be similar to the TLM release that had the bluray and DVD in the preorder.

A Friday? That just doesn't seem to sound right.

yeah it is odd but don't forget they did release Merida on a Friday so anything is possible with Disney LOL

It is odd and I would say it would be either they are giving us info on Jan 10 or they are releasing the dolls for preorder on Jan 10. We were not notified about Ariel's release until the week before she went up for preorder (we got the news around July 19 with the sneak peek and blurred images then more info the week after) and then the doll was release for preorder around Jul 29 so I would just keep an eye out and be prepared before Jan 10 as it'd be better to be safe than sorry.

By by the looks of it both dolls will be up for preorder which leaves an opening for a potential Kristoff surprise release on bluray release day.

Geesh, Disney sure is throwing out a lot of dolls right after each other. I mean I'd love to have a coronation Elsa but, my wallet will hate me.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they look like! This probably explains the low edition sizes of the original dolls. I wonder if Disney have gone all out on the 17" line because their are no plans to include them in the Designer dolls line just yet so no LE dolls for a while after these?

How do people feel about pre order? Do you prefer it? Will you be getting both dolls?

I'll prob just get Elsa. I have never pre-ordered a doll before so this will be my first time!

I'm sorry for asking what probably has an obvious answer, but I'm new to this whole thing - will these pre-orders be done in all US Disney Stores? As in, I could go into the Louisville Disney Store on the morning of the 10th and request to pre-order them? I'm really hoping to get my hands on them, but knowing my luck I'd misunderstand something and miss out!!

I believe it will depend on whether or not your store will stock the doll as not all Disney stores actually sell the LE dolls. If I were you I would contact your local store and ask them whether or not they will be receiving the dolls for preorder. The last thing you want to do is miss out on the online preorder and then rock up to the store and try to preorder it only to find out that your store will not be getting any of them.

by the way I just realised that most preorders in fact all preorder dolls on the past have had an edition size of 5000 or more. So there could be a good chance that they will do 5000 of each doll or possibly split the 5000 between the two dolls so 2500 of each doll since they will be releasing two for preorder which is the first time as well that they have done two dolls released for preorder at the same time.

Thanks, that's a good suggestion. I'll be sure to call them to make sure - I definitely would be upset if I missed the online pre-order only to find that they don't stock them! If I remember correctly, the online pre-order starts at midnight PST, right? And I would find them on the Disney Store website (is it easy to find or would I need a link or something)? I've only started looking into them seriously this week since they were never in my budget before, which is why I'm asking so many questions!

Thats correct PST at midnight. Usually the site does not update until 1215am but you can get to the page earlier if you have the early link which you will usually find here on the forum if someone posts it.

I've never done a pre-order before but Frozen is mine and my little sister's favorite Disney movie together, and I was going to pre-order for the dolls. Will my card get charged right away or not until the dvd/doll release happens in March?

Refer to the informative doll thread. This has a detailed explanation on how the charges work with preorders. In short yes it does charge you when you order the dolls as it puts a hold on the funds.

Any news on animator kristoff? I know they are in the UK but I ask my store yesterday and they had no idea

Our store will be getting him on Tuesday 1/7.

Thanks for the info! Glad to see that we are finally getting some dates with year animators. I suspected it would be this week as I feel that this is the first week back after the holiday season so there would be some big releases expected especially in relation to Frozen.
